I am trying to plan our itinerary for Aug. and I want to eat at Beaches and Cream, but I'm not sure if it's a table service or a quick serve. I can't imagine it being a TS unless the burgers are really good. If it is a TS is it worth it or is it better to pay OOP? or just skip all together. We just want it for lunch.

It's kind of both. There are tables for the table service area, and there is a to-go area that serves ice cream to-go. But it's very tiny, and they don't take ADRs.

I believe the dining plan considers it a table service (or it did in the past). I would pay out of pocket

I would consider it both.

It is a table service. You cannot make reservations there and the place is pretty small. There are a couple of booths, a couple of tables and a counter that probably seats about 8. In August, it will be pretty crowded as it's right off of Stormalong Bay and I would imagine the pool will be busy, thus this place will be busy. So unless you hit it right, you wait in line for a table.

They do have a quickserve line but I'm not exactly sure if you can order everything or if they just sell sodas from it (we've always eaten at a table). I don't recall any seating outside except at the pool that is for resort guests only (this pool is so restrictive that guests must get bracelets to be in the area).

The food is okay, hamburgers and hotdogs. The ice cream products are much better, shakes, floats, sundaes, etc.

The to-go side of Beaches & Cream will only do "simple" ice creams and milk shakes to go. Nothing from the grill, definitely no Kitchen Sink. Still, despite the size of the place, its GREAT!

As for TS/Snack credit question, if you can get something on the to-go size that's a snack credit that you'd like, get it. If you're going to sit down & have a full meal, even though they accept TS for it, I'd recommend paying OOP and using the credit for something else, unless you've got a credit you just "have" to burn. It's one of the least expensive TS restaurants there are at WDW, so don't waste a full TS when you don't need to.

Enjoy the Magic, & the food!

Because the prices are not that bad OOP. When you could have some ribs or a steak, a burger basket pales in comparison.

There is considerable wait time, even with the outdoor tables for the carry out folk.

Last September it showed it's age- really dirty/grimy booths and floors. The CM was pleasant when the 3 of us ordered 2 burgers and 1 basket of fries to leave room for ice cream. Their servings are generous and I wanted the ice cream!!!!! I was worried she'd be curt about that.

Big Hint:
Hurricane Hannah's sells the same hamburgers as a CS, but you have to buy your fries as a snack..........what a rip.
