Beach Trip

I am looking to plan a 2 night weekend trip after a week in Disney. What beaches would you recommend and any good hotels as well. Thanks

I was looking at the same and I came up with going to Clearwater or Treasure Island which is on the gulf of Mexico. The hotel that I have booked looks very nice and as an added bonus i'm getting an ocean front suite. If you want more info on the clearwater area let me know.

Also Clearwater Beach was voted #1 beach in north america this year.

Sanibel or Captiva IMHO is one of the coolest beach places in Florida.

depends onhow far away from WDW you want to travel. On the gulf side, Tampa is about 1.5 to 2 hrs away. On the Atlantic side(which i personally prefer) Cocoa beach is about 1 hr., Daytona about 1.5 hrs away

If you want to stay in Disney mode you could go to Vero Beach. It is a beautiful resort about 11/2 hours from Disney.
