Beach towels or not?

I know they have towels available on the boat at the pools and at CC, but should I take a beach towel for excursions, etc? We are planning on snorkeling in Grand Cayman. Thanks for your thoughts! Nancy

I believe there are towels available to take off for port excursions too, i'm not planning on packing any, i'll save the valuable space for goodies

No, dont bother to pack towels - there are plenty for everyone to use every day. Nat

If you like decent size towels then you should pack one...the ones they have on the ship are just towels, not beach towels and they are prety small.

They have a huge cart and hand them out as you leave the ship!

and if you are on an excursion they hand them out in the lounge when you are getting ready to leave for it.

The only thing I packed..and I'm glad I did, was one of those Neat Sheets for the beach. It came in handy on St. Thomas when we were at Coki. I rented one beach chair, an umbrella and the kids had the Neat Sheet as their beach blanket to sit and have their snacks. My DH tried resting on it for a few minutes, but the kids would have none of that!! LOL! Best part is I just picked it up and tossed it out instead of packing it for the trip home.

Since we live just a minute from the beaches here I always have one of those Neat Sheets in the back of the van and one packed in the beach bag. Love 'em!! Great for picnics, too!

They hand out towels as you leave the ship. You can also get them on deck 9 by the pool....and they give them out on all DCL sponsored excursions. SO, yes, you can use DCL towels on all your excursions whether thru them or independently.

They are the regular bath sized towels, so if you want big ones, bring your own.

I always feel that it isn't worth the hassle of carrying and laundering my own!

Neat Sheet ... neat idea!!! Gonna have to get one of those for the grandkids.

I'm only bringing a single beach towel ... for use at Blizzard Beach before we cruise on the Wonder ... figure the g'kids can bring bath towels from WL, but I NEED a bigger towel, LOL!!!

I'll probably spring for DCL beach towels, but the Neat Sheet will be a great way to "stake out our territory" on the CC and give the kids a place to sit when their not playing.
