Beach suggestions for N.C. or S.C.

We are looking for a new place for our beach vacation next summer. We normally go to Nags Head, NC but would like a change. We are thinking of the Wrightsville or Emerald Isle area of NC (or any beach in the SE part of NC or NE of SC-not Myrtle Beach though). Any help with these areas would be greatly appreciated. We would like an area thats not heavily commercialized but still has enough to keep teens entertained. We would be renting a home for a week so any suggestions as to rental companies would be appreciated also. Thanks

Wrightsville Beach is really nice. There is a lot to do around Wilmington as well.

We've stayed at Emerald Isle twice and enjoyed it. We rented a house through emerladislerealty.com. The oceanfront houses do go fast.

If you go south of Myrtle Beach to an area called Litchfield Beach, you may find what you are looking for. It is still part of the Grand Strand and yet not as commercialized as Myrtle Beach.

NC native here and if i had a choice it would be Sunset Beach hands down. Have fun!!

Going over the bridge to Emerald Isle is my favorite place on the planet!! But there's not much for teenagers to do except the beach, a small water boggan and the movies...
