Beach Suggestion?

We are going to WDW from Kentucky in a week. My sister has never been to the beach before so we would like to stop at the beach on our way home. What beach town do you suggest? We are driving and want to head north somewhat before stopping at the beach. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Cocoa Beach, Daytona, further up St. Augustine. All great beaches.

I second Cocoa Beach. We were there last year and the kids rented a kayak and had a blast. Make sure you visit a Ron Jon's for some beach memorabilia.

I'm not sure where you live in Kentucky, but I'd recommend a different route than the prior posters. I'd head to the panhandle of Florida, and hit the beach at Panama City Beach, Florida or Gulf Shores, Alabama. Both are beautiful white sand beaches with clear water and fairly gentle surf. Then after you're done there, its a straight shot north on I-65 up towards Louisville.
