This is the biggest question my kids have about our cruise and I haven't seen brought up anywhere. Do we need to bring our own beach toys- shovels, pails, etc., to Castaway Cay or does Disney provide them? And, are there boogie board rentals at the island? My kids would rather ride the waves then anything else.
Thanks!!

I didn't see any for use, you can of course but pails and sand toys.

There's not really any waves in the family area since it's all in a cove, not sure about the adult area, but still didn't see any boogie boards anywhere

I echo the above response; bring your own beach toys; no waves on the kids beach.

You don't mention your children's ages. There was lots of digging going on in the sand at the Oceanear's Club. On the family beach, there are tubes and mats for floating on for rent. There is also a jungle gym in the water for the 8 & over set (I don't think there's an age minimum, I just think 8 and over get the most use out of it) - you have to swim out to it, or at least be carried out to it by mom or dad.

There's also snorkel equipment and small boats (if you know how to sail) for rent.

Your kids will have a blast; enjoy! :sunny:

Thank you!!!

My kids are going to be 13 and 10 at the time of our cruise, 11-3-05. Last year we spend a week in Hawaii and their favorite time was the beach day hangin' out in the waves.
