What is the average weather like at Huntington Beach:beach: on June 30th? How cold is the water?

We are also considering Catalina Island. :boat: Would the weather / ocean temperature be the same there?

I read on-line the ocean is about 64 the month of June. The weather during the day 79 - evening lows 60s

We are going the end of June so it will be 100! My DH will hate it! lol I hope not. Florida is way to warm for him in June. So we went in Dec - way to cold for me! Now well try DLC.

Yes. Water temperatures around here stay below 70 degrees, which is wonderful. Air temperatures at the end of June should be in the 70s. The normal June gloom might have worn off, so there is a slight chance that it might reach the 80s. If you stay by the coast though, there should be no issues with the heat.

I would definitely reccomend Catalina as a day trip. It is wonderful! The weather might be a little bit warmer out on the island, but it's not going to be ridiculous. The cool ocean winds generally balance out any heat issues.

The June gloom tends to stick around especially in the beaches into early July. The nice thing is that it burns off by about noon. It can be a little breezy but if you're used to colder temps it will quite nice. If you're a Florida vetran don't expect the same water. It's a tad murkier due to the surf and a whole lot colder. You get used to it pretty quick especially if it's sweltering. The beach on an 85 degree day is more or less perfect as long as there isn't any wind.
