Beach "ledge" still bad at Vero?

Haven't been there since Sept 2010 when the beach ledge was quite high but was planning to go in early May but now with 2 toddlers, hoping that there has been something done about the ledge. Would appreciate an update from anyone that stayed there recently. Thanks!

I would also like to know. I have a toddler too. I have not been there since 2006.

I need to add that you can get to the beach....it was a little clumsy but you can get to it....cut out paths down etc.

One more question - was DVC setting up the chairs & umbrellas down at the beach or only up on the ledge? They were only doing it on the ledge when we were there so curious if that is still the practice? THanks.

I'll be honest to say I can't totally remember because we didn't rent the chairs or umbrellas that time around. But pressing my brain...I really think it was only up on the ledge. The drop may have been smaller than 2010, but it was still probably too steep to move the chairs and umbrellas up and down.

We were there in early November and the ledge was still there although not quite as bad as delaneyc52's September pic. I'd upload a few pics but can't seem to make it work - sorry. I'll read the instructions for pics again.

Anyway, they were setting up chairs on top of the ledge and there wasn't that much room up there. Some people had brought their chairs down near the water, though.

The "good" thing about the ledge is that it was not so bad as you walked south from the resort. You wouldn't have to climb down it - just some big steps.

We don't have toddlers, but I had no idea there was such a ledge at Vero. We would love to visit someday, but I guess we will stick with HHI for the time being.
