As a relatively new member to this Board, I am hoping someone can help me with our Beach Club Ressies. For our September trip I asked for Epcot view. When I initially asked they said fine, however, when I called back they indicated that there was some construction going on at Epcot that would obstruct the view and they weren't going to be able to put that request down. Does anyone know what this is? And since I am a first time stayer at the BC, should I ask for a different view? Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome online. May I recommend researching Beca's posts. She loves BCV and should be an excellent source.

There are no longer any "Epcot view" rooms at BCV, at least officially, due to the construction of Soarin'. Therefore, DVC no longer considers such requests.

In general, don't sweat the view. None of the BCV views are particularly memorable because of the resort's orientation in relation to the Yacht and Beach Clubs. The BCV's charm lies in its barefoot atmosphere, great pool, and closeness to Epcot, the Boardwalk and MGM. When we stay at BCV we simply ask for "non-smoking, non-handicapped, quiet location" and we always get something nice.

I was just at BCV in June. I spoke with the check-in about this. You need to ask for a road view and on the fourth or fifth floor. I hope that this will help you!!

A "road view" is what we had, on the 5th floor and we had a wonderful view of Illuminations. The view other than that is nothing to rave about, and yes, you can hear road noise.

This was our second BCV stay, the other year we had a courtyard view which was wonderful for people watching and was quiet.

We loved our BCV stays, the view doesn't make it or break it for us.

We were on the second floor of the 'road view' last month. We could see a lot of the IllumiNations fireworks and actually could see Spaceship Earth through the trees. I didn't think I was going to like the view but it turned out to be pretty good, even at a lower level!!

We had a courtyard view and we were still happy. It is all in the atmosphere!!

We walked over to Epcot had dinner or snack then watch Illuminations. It does spoil you being right next to Epcot!!
