Beach Club vs Yacht Club

They are both in almost the same location and have access to the same amenities. Only difference would be the theming, if one jumps out to you.

We stayed at Yacht, but basically the two just feel like one big resort. One thing though is that our room at YC was about as far as you could get to the Marketplace at BC, so I suppose that could be a factor if you frequent that alot. Either way its a cool place whichever you pick

We have stayed at both many times...probably more at BC. Differences have been covered by most you have already responded, but for us the ones that standout are: theming (what you see is what you get), buses can be filled at BC access point, can easily walk over to YC to resolve or take other transportation option if time is critical. Minor differences to include access point for water transportation and marina more favorable for YC. More foot traffic on the 1st floor at BC. Little time saver to access Epcot from BC. YC slightly faster to get to DS. Access to Boardwalk from each is very similar. Overall, we picked between the two based upon theme, availability of room type/level and sometimes the pricing.

Both about the same. YC has full balconies which is nice and close to boat dock. BC closer to Epcot. Both have Stormalong Bay. YC somewhat quieter with more adults. Rooms nice in both. Both are large but if you get a lake view can see Epcot fireworks. We enjoyed both.

I just read that pets are allowed at Yacht Club - if one of our travel party has a SEVERE cat allergy, and a moderate dog allergy, is there a way to request a pet-free room? Thanks!

You could request, but given that service animals can be in ANY room at ANY resort, if allergies are that bad you sholud always request an allergy cleaning. (I believe that only dogs are allowed as far as pets go...)

We love Epcot, so definitely BC. It's much closer to Epcot. I know YC is right against BC, but in reality YC's rooms are very spread out, so some rooms are a much longer walk and can be twice as far as BC to Epcot, if you compare the closest room at BC with the farthest room at YC. The walking adds up if you like to go back and forth several times a day -- it's the whole benefit of staying at a Epcot hotel. I like to do that for no apparent reason, just to feel like wow I'm living right next to Epcot. I also prefer BC's food court, which has an outside sitting option.

However, there's no denying that YC has advantages over BC. The rooms are much more beautiful. The balconies are nice and big. It's closer to DHS. So, staying there isn't the end of the world.

But BC is closer, and that's worth everything.

No real difference between the two. YC does have the balconies on room. Both have a good vibe and great pool. Shared areas so really just one resort. You have access to dining at both, great transportation options. So it’s really just a matter of cost and discount.

Usually very hard to get BC reservations and YC slightly easier. That’s sometimes the only real difference. We enjoyed both and would go back to whichever had the better deal.

We've stayed at both and really you can't go wrong with either, but a balcony is a must-have for us so I have to pick YC.
