Beach Club vs Dolphin

Just got off the phone with CRO. We are a party of 11 so we need 3 rooms. I already have ressies with the Dolphin for 3 rooms for a total of $3230.43. The quote for BC standard view with AP discount was $6127. Yes, I almost fell out of my chair. Is there really that much difference bt the two? We stayed at both the POR and BC in June and yes the BC was nice especially the SAB. I think we will be staying with the dolphin and enjoying the same view for less$$$. What do yall think??

I have not stayed at the Dolphin, but I have stayed at the Beach Club and there is NO WAY I would spend over $6,000 for the BC. Definitely go with the Dolphin. You know the area -- so you know it's nice. Maybe you can get refurbished rooms at the Dolphin.

The $3,000 difference between these two hotels is serious money. Use it for the rest of the trip.

The Dolphin is a wonderful hotel and the grotto pool is the second best on Disney property! I think you will enjoy a Dolphin stay much better and save the money for some REALLY nice dinners! The Dolphin also has heavenly beds, which after a day of running through the parks is a really nice thing to have! You will not regret your stay!

We're splitting our stay this Easter between either the AKL then the Dolphin, or the Dolphin then WL. There is no way I am giving up the Dolphin part of my vacation! I didn't even ask about other AP rates in the EPCOT area, as I knew I had exactly what I wanted with my Dolphin reservation. We have stayed at the Swan during our trip last June and we loved the rooms/area/beds/pool/location/service... you get the idea!

Thanks so much for the reassurance. I have been trying to keep up with the Dolphin reviews and as we all know it appears that the majority of its guest love the resort. Dolphin here we come
