what are the differences between the two...? (besides more room in the villas....) Thanks! I have always wanted to stay at the beach club... I think we might on our next trip but I dont know if we should get a room or a 1bedroom villa.

The 1 bdr villa has a separate bedroom with King bed, A living room with pull out queen sleeper sofa, Full kitchen, Washer/Dryer and separate shower and Jacuzzi tub.It has a lived in beachy cottage feel to it.
The Rooms are 2 beds and a bath( regular tub not jacuzzi) or ( 1 king ,2 queens and daybed etc) and a more upscale beach theme. We prefer the 1 bdr villas.Much more room , the W/D comes in handy and the tub is divine after a long day in the parks. We also use the kitchen for quick breakfasts /lunches and snacks. The villas you are guaranteed a patio or balcony .The hotel rooms you might not get one. There are only some with full balconies/patios.Others have just a standing balcony( no room to sit and no room for more than one person to stand on)

I've stayed at both in the last 3 weeks, so if you have any specific questions I might be able to help you. I was in a BCV studio the 1st week of March, and a CL Deluxe room at BC this week.

Here's what stood out to me:

The decor is different - BCV is more pastel & light & bright. BC is more white & light blue, more upscale & formal looking.

BCV building is a tad farther away from the lobby & SAB.

Both have a quiet pool & hot tub area.

A studio at BCV is the same size as a regular room at BC, just different decor & bed set-up - a studio will have 1 queen and a pull-out sofa bed, a regular room at BC will have 2 queens.

A 1BR villa will be tons more room & ammenities over a regular room at BC. You will have a separate bedroom as well as a full kitchen, and washer & dryer.

Thanks! Is the decor at bcv dated? From the pictures i've seen it kind of looks dated... or something you would find in a cheap motel. If you stay at BCV can you still use SAB or is it only for people who stay at BC?

All the pics I saw of BCV also got me thinking "oh that's old & outdated" but our studio wasn't at all. BC has been refurbed recently so it is cleaner & fresher - but I loved the BCV decor. Now, I've seen pics of the 1BR and 2BR at BCV and honestly I think they do look dated. But I thought that about the studio pics too & it was really nice when we got there.

All BC, BCV and YC guests can use SAB. There are also 3 quiet pools with hot tubs (one at BCV, one at BC near the International Gateway and one at YC) you can use.

If I get a chance I'll post the pics of the rooms we had so you can see the decor.

Here are pics from the BCV studio:

I don't find the BCv decor dated. It looks like a Lived in beach cottage.Kind of like a cottage at Cape May NJ or something. It is supposed to look that way.

That's exactly how I felt. I thought the pics made it look like faded 1980's decor but once I got to the room I really liked it. Very casual cottage shabby chic LOL!! The BC decor was fine but very formal compared to BCV.

We stayed at the villas for the first time last Aug - usually stayed at the BWVs before that but not available last year. We will be returning the the BCVs in Aug. again since we loved them so much. As for looking dated, I had read posts on here about that and I was worried since the BWVs had just been redone and were wonderful. We didn't find them dated and worn at all. The space that a 1 bedroom offers can't be beat. We love having the full kitchen for quick breakfasts and snacks/drinks on hand. The w/d is great since we don't have to pack as much and always come home with clean clothes. We just throw a load in at night and throw it in the dryer in the morning. Love having the two separate parts to the bathroom so that getting ready in the morning is much easier. You won't be disappointed in the villas. We can't wait to return in Aug.

I didn't know the bathroom had separate parts. We are staying there for the first time in June! Can't wait! We have stayed at BC before and LOVED it.

You know, I have always stayed at BWV's but I think it will be booked by the time I can make a reservation so I was looking into BCV as a back up...never even crossed my mind. But after seeing all these pictures and watching online video tours, I think I will like it just as much as BWV if not more!!! I usually stay at the same resort, but I think it is time to branch out pirate:

We've stayed at the BCV twice now and love it. The decor is very comfortable and we have not found it outdated at all. We have another trip planned for this Sept at the BCV.

We book a one bedroom which has a king in the bedroom and a pull out bed/couch in the living room. My youngest daughter slept on it the first time and said it was very comfy and the second time my oldest daughter and her husband slept on it and said the same thing. In fact, when planning this trip we were debating whether to get 2 rooms in the BC or stay with the one bedroom. We left the decision up to them since they would be the ones sleeping on the pullout and they said to get the one bedroom because the pullout is comfortable, it has more room and saves us a little $$ over getting 2 rooms at BC.

We usually stay at BCV but stayed one night back in december in a regular BC room before moving over to the villas. I think the regular BC rooms are little nicer and more updated but they just redid them so I would expect them too. BCV rooms are nice don't get me wrong but they are older.
