Does anyone have any feedback on the BC Villas? I have on hold rooms at the Beach Club resort with a water view, but if I add on refridgerators to the room it seems they come out about the same price as a one-bedroom at the villas. If you are not a member of the club is it hard to book these? Thanks for any help on deciding this!!

Oops! Idiot attempting math! The fridges would only equal one nights difference!! Still, if anyone has opinions on the villas vs the BC please let me know!

We are DVC members and our home resort is BCV. We love BCV, there is so much room. I believe that Disney holds a certain number of rooms for cash reservations but I do not know how difficult it is to get. Have you considered renting points from a DVC member. If you go to the DVC trade board there are many people willing to rent points. We actually rented out points this year to pay for our cruise and it was a very smooth transaction. You may find with points that you could get that 1-Bedroom for less than the room you have now.
Even if you pay cash and the room cost is a little more I personally think it is worth it. You have a washer and dryer to do your laundry (less to pack) and you can eat breakfast in your room. We end up eating atleast one sometimes two meals in our room which saves us quite a bit of money for a family of four.

We are also members of the BCV and have been there 5 times so far. There is no comparison at all of the regular rooms at Beach Club (which I have stayed in and do love by the way) and the 1 bedroom at the Villas. The 1 bedrooms are so realaxing and so big. You don't mention who is going on the trip, but it is nice to have a seperate room with a couch to sit on. The washer and dryer are wonderful as well. We don't do much cooking since we are on vacation, but having the fridge, coffee maker and microwave is really nice. Did I mention the jacuzzi tub? As the other poster has mentioned, there are some rooms normally available for cash, but the real deal is renting points from a member, the other issue here is that there is a lot of trust involved.

Hi Lynnyl- this is Pam from Chan. Just dreaming of WDW and cruising so I thought I would spend a few minutes here on this cold cold day.

My dh and I spend 7 nites at the villas last fall. We took advantage of that package deal they offered. It was pay for 3 and get 4 nites free and tickets for 7 I think. May be it was the other way around. Anyway a good deal. So we went thru Disney to get the package. We booked a studio because it was just the 2 of us. It would of been nice to have a full kitchen and bedroom of a one bedroom, but we did not spend alot of time there in the room. The studio was very spacious. The only thing that they need to change was the TV/ cupboard thingy. It really lacked in storage space. The closet was generous and the kitchenette had alot room for it's size. We need more room to put folded clothes, socks, etc. You would probably solve that with the one bedroom.

The layout of the Villas in whole is great. Our studio was not far from the elevator and the halls are wide and open. It was a hike to the ice machine but we took turns at nite. The quiet pool at the villas was great along with it own hot tub. It was quite hot in Sept. Look for the gator that lives in the creek behind the pool.

The site for the villas was very convient to walk to Epcot. Takes 5 minutes to walk and get to the 'back door' by France. Easy to stop there and get a pastry before starting the day.

Stormalong Bay is beautiful and a great sand bottom pool. Plan on a day just hanging at that pool.

Have fun,
Pam

Wow, thanks for the great information and descriptions! There's really a croc in the creek? My nephews will LOVE that! As well as stormalong bay! Thanks again!

Here is a picture of the alligator at BC. http://www.wdwinfo.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=177&papass=&sort=1&thecat=500

Here is a view from our balcony http://www.wdwinfo.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=2609&papass=&sort=1&thecat=500

Here is another view from our balcony, they had something special going on for Mission Space so they had a flag projected on Spaceship Earth http://www.wdwinfo.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=2607&papass=&sort=1&thecat=500

In a 1 Bedroom there are real dishes, glasses, coffee cups, sliverware, pots and pans and anything else you find in a normal kitchen. In the studio there is paper plates and plasticware.

Wow! Great pictures! I want to be there!!! Thanks again for all of your help! :goodvibes

There will be 15 of us on this trip, do you think 2 two-bedroom villas will have enough room for us? How early can these be reserved by non-members? (I guess I'd rather go this route and have maid service!) Thanks again for all of your help!

We had 8 in a 2-bedroom no problem but 4 of them were kids. I do not think I would have more than 6 adults or it would feel cramped.

I'm renting points for the first time this fall for the BCV. We can stay in a studio for the price of a Disney moderate resort and we are in love with EPCOT! I hope this goes smoothly!

A 2 bedroom Villa will have a king size bed in the master bedroom, a queen size sleeper sofa in the Living Room, and in the 2nd bedroom there is a queen size bed and another sleeper sofa.

Thanks again for all of your advice! I booked the villas for our family and i'm very excited! :Pinkbounc

I've stayed at BCV several times and have enjoyed it immensely! Just so you know, if you rented points thru a DVC member you could still get daily maid service if you requested it and paid an extra fee for each 2-bedroom villa. This might work out to be less expensive than booking the rooms thru Disney... Just wanted to point that out in case you didn't know.

Anyway, BCV is my absolute favorite DVC property -- and I've been to all of them except Hilton Head!! :) I am sure you and your family will have an excellent time. If you need any additional information on BCV, don't hesitate to ask!

Happy planning,
Sarah

Tagrel, those were great pictures! We are leaving in a few days and now we are more excited than ever. Thanks!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Those pictures were fantastic! Very thorough. Now I'm dying to be there haha. Still have a month and a half left...:yo-yo:
