Feb.6-14 We will be taking DD (4yrs) to the BCV for a week. We have never stayed there but have heard wonderful things. We will be getting in VERY early in the morning and may be able to request a room with a view. Is there a particular level or side that you may be able to see fireworks or something else of interest. It certainly would be fun to have a view since we won't have any late nights out. Thanks for the help in advance.:o

There is one side that has a view of Illuminations and Epcot, but it is mostly a woods/roadway view when it's not Illuminations time. The pool view overlooks the quiet pool and the parking lot. The third view, a courtyard view, looks towards the Beach Club. BCV is a very quiet resort.

We stayed at BCV last Sept, and had a room with a view of the woods/roadway. While it wasn't the best view in the world, it was great when it was time for IllumiNations!:earseek: It was really nice because ds (4) was sometimes pretty tired by 9:00; and it was soooo easy to come in, put him to bed, and step out on the balcony for IllumiNations. I'm not sure if this is accurate; but I was told that BCV doesn't have that many rooms that will have a view of IllumiNations????

We had a pool/canal view and found it to be very quiet and relaxing. If you ask for a room right over the canal, you get to see the turtles and aligator (if it's still there). You don't want a room overlooking the courtyard, as it is very boring and too quiet. Most illuminations views get you the sights and sounds at night, but some traffic noise. Good luck.

DVCinderella, Thank you for the thread it had great info. I noticed that you have stayed at BCV. Do you have a preference for a view and what did you like about it? Thanks for the help.:)

My family stayed in villa 434 over Thanksgiving, with a great balcony and view of the pool. I liked being toward the middle of the resort, roughly halfway between the parking lot and the walkway to Epcot.

Even if you only count the fourth and fifth floors, there are a significant number of rooms that have an Illuminations view, some more direct than others. (I seem to recall estimating 12% from Doc's thread.) If you request it, you have a reasonable chance of getting it, as many prefer the pool view.

buzzgirls&dad,

We requested a view of Dunes Cove, the BCV pool. This is different from Stormalong Bay, which is the main pool for both the Yacht & Beach Clubs. Actually, you can't even see SB from BCV.

Although we could see DC from our balcony, we were really closer to the parking lot than anything else. Our room was over the canal. We had a long walk to our room from the main entrance to the Villas. However, we were only 1-door-down from the emergency stairwell which led out to the parking lot. So our room was convenient for getting to the car.

Of the four views that BCV offers, we chose the pool. Although an Epcot view would've been nice, I know these rooms are pretty close to the service road, and I didn't want to hear road noise. I didn't want the courtyard view either, because that's where all the guests drive up for check-in.

If I were to stay there again, I would choose the pool view.

I have room 561 a studio - great view of Spaceship Earth - yes it was also a view of the service road.

the service roads is to service the pavillions at FW - you can't get a view of FW without a view of the service road.

but who cares-----I woke up and went to sleep viewing Spaceship Earth - it doesn't get better than that (my opinion)!!!!
