Beach Club Villas ?

I can't believe we'll be in our 2 bdr Beach CLub Villa in two weeks!!!!!! I cannot WAIT!! I was wondering though, we are set up in a 2 bdr "lockout"....what does that mean? And we will have a full sized refrigerator, stove, etc, right? Any other comments about Beach Club Villas will be GREATLY appreciated

You will have a full sized kitchen. I believe lockout refers to if your room is dedicated 2 bedoom or not. A dedicated villa is a 2 bedroom that is strictly used as a 2 bedroom and can't be split up into a studio and a 1 bedroom. Some 2 bedrooms have a separate door going out to the hall from the second bedroom. This way the hotel can switch them back and forth according to need.
I think you are set to have a 2 bedroom with the extra door. To be sure ask this question on the DVC member board they would know for sure.

I believe what smantha said is right. We just stayed at BCV last week and had a 1br with doorway that was locked off from our side as well as the other side. I would assume that was a studio villa. Our 1br (which would be a 2br with the doors open) had a great kitchen, oven, microwave, dishwasher and most everything you could need. We loved our 1br villa. The 2br set up you have would be great if you have a need for more privacy as the internal doors can be shut. Have fun - Steve

As the others have said, a "Lockout" refers to the fact that the unit will be a 1 bedroom villa and a studio villa - opened to become a 2 bedroom. The 2nd bedroom (the studio) will have a door that opens into the entryway of the one bedroom AND a door which opens into the hallway. I believe this means that you will also have a "kitchenette" in the 1 bedroom (studio), in addition to the full kitchen of the one bedroom. The "kitchenette" includes a small under counter refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and sink. The one bedroom kitchen includes just about anything you might need, including place settings for 6, glasses (Beverage, Juice and Wine), pots and pans, a dishwasher, disposal, and a toaster and a washer and dryer!
The BCV is beautiful! I think you will love it. The proximity to Epcot and MGM can not be beat, and you have all the excitement and fun of the Boardwalk right outside your front door. Storm A Long Bay is lots of fun too!
