Has anyone stayed at the Beach Club Villas, and if so how did you like it???

We are hoping the added expense will pay for itself with a few meals "in the room"......any thoughts?????

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!:earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

We stayed last summer, checked in opening day. It was very exciting. There were workers all over, touching up paint and generally "fussing." We had a great time.

The whole area is very lovely and feels "deluxe." There's lots of action. The rooms are really lovely, all done in pretty pastel colors. We had no problem with anything in the room.

You can definitely save some money by having a few meals "in." We always keep breakfast foods and snacks in the room. The on-site store sells basic grocery items at outrageous prices. There are also lots of grocery stores withing minutes of WDW.

Beaches and Cream is delicious and fun. Great food and ice cream -- no diets here. There is also a snack bar near the main pool. You can easily spend a whole day at Stormalong Bay. Really, the whole area is gorgeous and it's a treat to be able to walk right into Epcot. It's also just a short walk to all the amenities of Baordwalk Villas, right across the lake.

Have a wonderful stay!

The Beach Club Villas are wonderful. I've stayed there three times. The fourth time will be in November. It's my DVC home resort.

The proximity to Epcot and the pool can't be beat.

Don't know about the meals, though... I'm not cooking my own stuff on vacation... but it's nice to be able to heat a poptart for breakfast and keep my own Diet Coke (that didn't cost $2.50 a bottle) in the fridge.

(This is my 1000th post)

You can use the Storalong Bay pool....you can walk to Epcot and the Boardwalk....you can save money by having meals in the room...what's not great about the BCV? I love them. Just don't get hung up on a view. The DVC Members get first priority on room requests.

Have fun!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom at BCV earlier this year and found it to be very nice. I like staying anywhere in that area, simply for the convenience. We spend most of our time at Epcot or the studios, and being able to walk to both is great.

I've stayed in the BCV studios and love them. But then I've never stayed in a deluxe resort before. And the convenience and cost savings of having breakfast /coffee in the room, as well as snacks, makes it well worth the money.

Great choice! We love staying at the BCV. In the evening around 6:00 hop in the car drive over to MGM, get my fix on ToT and R&R
twice each, back to the BCV before 7:00.

We stayed there last June for the first time. (Have been DVC member since 1994 at OKW) Had a 1 bdroom on 1st floor(small wing, very quiet before you reach the elevators)in 122. We made breakfast each morning except for last one and ate at Cape May. Very nice resort..quiet pool was nice change from SAB and we loved Beaches and Cream. CM were great ...our room was also very convenient to self-park and to BC lobby. You will have agreat time..location is wonderful..walk over to boardwalk and hit ESPN club for some sports and appetizers or to Spoodles! We are staying at the swan 12/28-1/02 and will hit BC for beaches and cream with our meal vouchers!
