We are staying at BCV in a one bedroom in September. Has anyone been at the BCV recently? I have heard mixed reviews about the rooms. Some are saying rooms look run down or were dirty and needed new carpet, tables, and bedspreads. Any feedback appreciated! I hope the reviews I read were from very picky people!! Thanks

I can't answer your question other than to say we haven't had many complaints here lately about BCV. I did want to comment on your username though. Could we be related???

I stayed at Beach Club last Aug, in a one bedroom, so I don't know if that is recent enough...my room was great. I went Wow, when we walked in. We are staying in a dedicated 2 bedroom with 2 queen beds in Dec. I can't wait! Taking the married children. I was very impressed with the resort and my room. My bed was wonderful! This is a beautiful resort!

We stayed in a studio at BCV last month and it was great. The room was clean and everything was in good working order. The only problem was they didn't have pistachio gelato in the Marketplace.

We stayed in a one bedroom at the BCV. It was absolutely amazing! You won't be dissapointed. I'll attach some pictures for you.

I think the rooms are in good shape. This resort has probably the greatest number of young children staying there and I think the hallways and other common areas get young hands touching everything. Lots of wear and lots of dirt. It must be hard for BCV to keep up with it.

We were there last week, in a studio on the first floor...everything was clean and nice...the only issue we noticed was a slow-draining bath tub (not at all a real issue...but you asked for "picky!")...I did notice the carpeting in the hallways was getting close to needing cleaning...it wasn't exactly dirty...just not "fresh clean"...other than that, perfect!

Loved the BCV (we'd stayed multiple times in the hotel side, but it was first time in the Villas)...it's a lovely place, very conveniently laid out and located...

Hope you have a great time!

Last July 4 our 2-bedroom was in excellent shape. However, someone had smoked recently -- a lot -- in this non-smoking suite and the air-freshener didn't cover it. Not the resort's fault, and probably less of a problem with the new policy. My only complaint was that the carpet outside the door was worn. No big deal.

We had a 2 bd and a studio this past Jan and our rooms were wonderful. Our only complaint were that they were the last 2 rooms at the end of the hallway. The stairway to the parking lot was by our door. They also lost my DDs laptop but the rooms were clean. :)

Just got back from a week long stay. We were in a studio but our room seemed in great condition. No complaints whatsoever.

We were there in March....found everything as it should be except that the one switch had broken off the iron. One call and a new iron appeared while we were out. :thumbsup2

We stayed in a Studio a few weeks ago at BCV and were quite pleased. We were on the 4th floor facing Spaceship Earth and loved it (staying in a room that size for two weeks...we better love it).

I did manage to spill coffee on the floor and the whole carpet was cleaned while we were out.

My only concern was that the handles on some of the fire extinquisher boxes were broken. I need to write in and tell them about that.

ITA about the pistachio gelato. When I went in January and it was gone, I actually yelled a loud "Oh, No!" Fortunately, everything else was great-I think I had one light bulb burnt out that was promptly replaced.

Our stay in a 1 BR in mid-May was fine. The fan in the shower/toilet part of the bathroom was broken and a light bulb was out but they fixed it very quickly after we reported it.

DD and I also were there in March in a studio and it was fine, too.

There might be a spot here and there or a chip in the paint but things like that don't really bother me as long as it has been cleaned well.

Hate to bring it up again but what about the sofa beds, have they all been replaced with the new type and if not were they at least very comfortable?

DD slept on sofa bed in our studio in March and again on the sofa bed in May in our 1 BR. They were both the new style. She said they are much, much better than the older ones.

We stayed at BCV in a 2 BR dedicated villa in just a few weeks ago and I thought it was immaculate--and I was looking extra closely! No complaints at all; even had a room ready when we checked in early.

We just checked into a one bedroom lock off this afternoon. Room was immaculate. Painter was in the room touching up a few spots when we arrived. Carpet had been cleaned before we got there and was a bit damp. Someone had removed the cushioned seats on the bench seat by the table, so we'll need to contact Maintenance in the AM to get them glued back down. Hallways looked good.

I just remembered another questions, the complimentary laundry, where is it located and how many machines are available?
