I really enjoyed staying in a BoardWalk Villas boardwalk-view studio room on our last trip, but we're considering staying at the Beach Club Villas next time, primarily for Stormalong Bay. But I was surprised to see that the Beach Club Villas don't overlook Crescent Lake, which is a bit of a bummer. What are the BCV views like?

BCV isn't known for it's views. You have a pool view which also looks out over the parking lot. Courtyard view that looks out the BC and the Ariel statue. Another courtyard view that looks out at the woods and gets a bit of Epcot above the trees. Woods view that might overlook the roadway and get a bit of Epcot above the trees.

BCV is more quiet and relaxed than the BWV.

Considering the Villas were built years after the Beach Club was built there truly was no place to build it that had great views. It was built on the valet parking lot and tennis courts in front of the Beach Club next to the road.

So there aren't any great views.

I really liked our view from June . It was down the canal 1st floor

Pleasant views are available, you'll just need to take a walk for all the variety you may seek:

If you get a room on the backside you may also get a peek of EPCOT.

We just stayed at BCV for the first time, in room 239. We loved the resort, but we were more concerned with privacy rather than the view. We spent very little time on the balcony because of the lack of privacy. Our room (dedicated studio) was in the inside corner and we had a 2 bedroom right next to and across from us. No divider between the balconies. Seeing our neighbor in his turquoise briefs was enough for us to stay inside. LOL.
Our room was beautiful though. Spotless and extremely well maintained. We also found that the resort staff was some of the most pleasant we have come across.

Amen! We had an inside corner room on the back courtyard towards EPCOT. We had a fantastic view of Illuminations. But we shared it with half the resort! Plus, the balconies on that side on the upper floors are tiny!

True, except for when Illuminations goes off, especially on the Epcot side of the resort. Don't plan to sleep before 9:15 (9:45 during the holiday season).

Ditto! We really liked the resort, but that was the downside for us too! It was a women constantly on her cell phone speaking quite loudly! LOL! We were told we had an EPCOT view, but it wasn't. It was, however directly over the smoking lounge! Another reason for not using our balcony.

Our room was great and the pool is really fun! Beaches and Cream has really yummy ice cream and burgers!

Just wondering, are all of the balconies at BCV like this? No dividers I mean. If not could you request a balcony that has them? I spend alot of time on the balcony and this would totally spoil my time out there. I'm not a recluse by any means but privacy is important to me.

Most of the balconies seemed to be set up like ours. Even though we had a studio, and of course it had a smaller balcony than say a 2 bedroom, it was smaller compared with the other resorts. Beautiful resort anyway. We really liked that the BCV were in a different building than standard rooms. The separate check in, right in our building, was definitely a perk too.

I guess I've just been lucky then. I've stayed at BCV in 7 different studios, and the ones I've been in have always had dividers/been private.

This is great!:cool1:

Does anyone have any more pics of the views?

Is there another place I should be looking for room views at the BCV?
Thanks!!!:goodvibes

I believe that the only ones with dividers are on the second floor. We had a 2-bedroom on the second floor a couple years ago and the balcony had dividers. If you look at the pictures above, you'll get a pretty good idea of what they look like. We were on the thrid floor this past trip.

Thanks for the excellent responses. With the information I have, I'm leaning towards staying at the BoardWalk Villas again... I just love that lake view too much, even if it means Serenity Bay is out.

Here is a view from my balcony on the Epcot side. As you see, no dividers and a "sort of" view of Epcot.

We stayed at BCV studio last year and were on the third floor (I think or maybe forth?) overlooking the back road. We could just see the top of Spaceship Earth over the trees. We loved the view and the location. It was quiet and peaceful.

We sat out every morning on the balcony having our breakfast watching the alligators and turtles in the pond down below and watching the Disney buses doing the rounds along the road.

As someone else posted, it did get a little noisy when Illuminations was on but I'd rather get disturbed by that than noisy people in my street at home any day!

We don't go to Disney every year due to the distance but we loved it. We actually preferred it to OKW (we had a split stay).

I don't think I'd like this at all. boBQuincy's photo makes it look like you'd be elbow to elbow with the guy in the next room. I don't understand the reasoning for no privacy. Our balcony at OKW was visible to the rooms jutting out next door to ours and that wasn't bad. Sort of like at home on your own front porch. Are any of the other DVC resort balconies like that? I didn't notice it at BW. BCV is so pretty but I don't think we'll be jumping into booking there anytime soon. Thanks eva.

We had a nice large balcony all to ourselves in our 1 bedroom on the second floor. You could walk out there from the master bedroom or the living room. Because of the "open" rails and the shape of the resort, it is not private. But that did not bother us. I mean, the view wasn't anything amazing, except for when Illuminations was going. :)
