Does anyone know, once they begin the refurb, about how long does it take to complete? I'm hoping it's done before we arrive in May. It has needed it for years. So far this is my only disappointment with DVC. It's more expensive than other timeshares and refurbs occur infrequently! Not what I've come to expect from Disney.

Keep in mind that renovations come from member dues. More frequent renovations would mean higher dues. Disney isn't paying for it. How long it takes depends on how many rooms are pulled out of service at once, which they need to plan for in advance.

Yes, I realize this. I still say they could do better with the refurb schedule. But...it is what it is.

We were just there in July, and I agree that it was looking very run down. The carpeting was wet in front of the refrigerator, the upholstery looked very worn, and even the paint was in need of refreshing. This has always been our favorite because of location and the pool, and the first time I left a tiny bit disappointed. But then again, we were at Disney, so I was willing to overlook it

Oh wow... so not looking forward to our stay at BCV now. I guess I will break the news to my family.
How can we find out about renovations? And if they do them, typically how long will it take them?
