So I'm taking the family to the BCV during Christmas to see if I like it. I understand that BCV has a great pool setup. Even though Orlando is warmer than my neck of the woods, it's still going to be a little chilly for swimming. Is the main pool at BCV heated to the point where it is reasonable to expect to be able to swim or is it typically just too cold during Christmas time?::MickeyMo

It is heated and should be comfortable enough to swim. And heaven knows, I've been down there during December when it's been warm enough to lay out!! (Then again, I've also been there in January when I need mittens . . .)

It usually doesn't seem warm enough to me, but I see many people swimming no matter what time of year.

Being from the South, we tend to not swim unless the outside air temp is 90 or higher.

We've been to WDW in December in three different years and have gone swimming each time. Even at night, the pools are heated to a comfortable temperature. Getting out of the pool and back to your room may be a different story, but the water is nice!

We were there last Jan. and my kids and the ducks were the only swimmers in Storm along Bay. It was too cold for me!
