Beach Club Villas Movie Night

I have heard about beach club having campfires and movies at night on the beach. I own at AKV and will be staying with family there in Oct, was wondering if you are required to be staying at BCV in order to go to the campfire and movies at night. Was thinking of heading there one night and watching the movie with the family, didn't know if this was allowed. TIA!!!!!!

It's allowed, and your concierge desk should be able to tell you what movie is playing. The information was in the Welcome packet when we stayed at BWV in June.

Just in case you weren't aware - and if time is a factor for you - they do movie at AKV at night also - out by the pool.

They do them by the pool at SSR also. I think most of the resorts including the values have them now.

The AKV movies may not show up, but they do have them. In October, 2009, the specific movie was selected that day. Then, it may change again. Last October, I was told that afternoon that it would be "Pirates of the Caribean". However I showed up to see-

So don't adjust plans around seeing a certain movie. But it's a lot of fun, regardless of what movie is playing.

Like Bobbie, I've stayed at BWV and walked over to BCV to see the movie. The movie schedule may be posted on a sign on the BCV beach.

At BCV where do you go to watch the movie, can you be in the SAB pool while your watching the movie?

Phil, it isn't a DVC Member Perk. It is for all resort guests at the resorts that are showing movies at night.

Same rules apply if the movie is being shown in the pools - DVC Members can pool hop to the same pools they normally can (except BLT, AKV/AKL, BC/YC). The movies are shown on the beach at BC to avoid this very problem for people, I suspect. IIRC the CR/BLT movies are also show on the beach between the resort buildings to avoid this problem

Regular resort guests are not allowed to pool hop anywhere. So they would have to be content with watching the movies at their own pool unless they were shown elsewhere at a particular resort.

And at OKW and BC, the movies aren't shown at the pool. At OKW, they're on the boardwalk area not far freom Good's to Go. At BC, they're shown on the beach in front of (back of?) the resort. One nice thing is that, depending on timing that particular month, you may get to see some Illuminations Fireworks during the movie-

WL/VWL also shows the movies on the beach and not at the pool. At CR/BLT early this year they showed it in the area between the two buildings although I thought they used to show it right by the pool.

Stayed at BWV last wk and went to campfire and movie at BCV. They posted the movies for the wk in advance. Warning - the campfire is pretty dull compared to the fun time you get at VB's campfire. The movie is on the beach - a very pretty location.

Last summer we went to the Campfire Sing-a-long with Chip and Dale at Fort Wilderness, we made Smores, and it was followed by a movie, we had a great time!!
