Beach Club Villas in October

We are going October 12-18. The main reason I have chosen BCV is for SAB. I have read on these boards that SAB closes fairly early, even as early as 6:00 pm during cooler months. I understand that the quiet pools stay open later, do they have any kind of slides? I'm beginning to think we should just stick with CSR. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, the quiet pools at BC and BCV do not have slides. That's the one bummer thing about SAB -- it closes awfully early.

When we were there last May, I believe it closed at 8:00 p.m. I'd be surprised if it closes as early as 6:00 p.m., but maybe someone else more experienced with the resort can tell you for sure.

Because of the size of SAB and all the turns and curves, plus bridges and trees, it becomes harder to see all the guests as night gets closer.

None of the quiet pools at WDW have slides. Only the themed pools.

October isn't considered a "cooler" month. Daylight Savings Time ends November 2nd this year, and the sunset that week is about 6:20. Since it's still light out after 'offical' sunset time, I think it's a safe bet the pool will be open until 8:00.

There is a reference to SAB closing at 6pm on the allears site, but it was during December, not October. I know when I was at BWV last month, and they were allowing BW guests to go to SAB (because of the Luna Park pool rehab) they were running the shuttles back and forth until 8pm. October is warm enough, and still light enough, that I would guess it would be open until at least 8pm, especially since that is a fairly busy time for the Epcot resorts (due to the F&W Festival).
