Beach Club Villas - Construction Noise???

I am planning an 8-day stay in a 2-bedroom at the Beach Club Villas for late February 2012. I have been reading some reviews that say they started some Beach Club construction projects that are resulting in a not so great guest experience.

Does anyone here have first hand knowledge? My DS and DBIL are coming along on this trip. They are not so much theme park people and plan to spend a lot of time relaxing at the resort.

If you have ideas on a particular location I should request to avoid construction interference and noise, I would really appreciate it!

would say - closer to the self parking lot and further away from BC.

I was there 3 weeks ago. At that time the rooms in the courtyard area (the entrance to BCV) would definitely have had noise during the day. We had a woods view and could not hear it from there.

I had those same concerns after reading probably some of the same reviews. I asked MS about it and they assured me that no construction is going on but that doesn't seem to be the case according to Pakey. I have never been there, so what room should you request to avoid it?

When I was there Oct 27-29 they were prepping the walls and overhead next to the walkways between BCV and BC. The first day I was there I walked thru the solarium and the door was open to vent the strong smell of varnish or oil based paint used in or around there. Our room faced the quiet pool, so I didn't notice any noise, we just had to walk around some of their equiment when using those walkways. I would think that type of work would be done by February.
