Hi,

There is a little question regarding Beach Club. We are staying at SSR and BIL and his family are at BCV. Can we go visit them at BCV and use Stormalong Bay as there guest or as a Pool Hopping scenario.

Also, My son was reading in the new Birmbaums guide that they were closing Beaches and Cream and putting a Market/restaurant in its place. Has this happen ?? Beaches and Cream was a family tradition.....I hate to see it close down.

Thanks,
Pat

The market/restaurant has already gone in and it is not in the place of Beaches and Cream. It was added as part of the shop complex at Beach Club. You must have a room key for each guest at Stormalong Bay, so in general visitors are not allowed (unless you were under maximum occupancy and registered the guests as part of your party staying in the room) and pool hopping to Stormalong Bay is not allowed under any circumstance.

Swimming is not a problem. All you needs is one valid resort key to get the wristbands for the pool.

I doubt, they would close B&C. I takes up no space and feeds many people. Way too popular,

Unfortunately, that is not the way they do it all the time. Most of the time they will ask for the room ID for each member of the party, including kids three yrs old and older.

If BIL and his family are DVC members, they can join you over at SSR pool. But you cannot join them as there is NO pool hopping to SAB or any of the pools at YC/BC complex including the leisure pools.

If they have less that full occupancy in their villa, they could get room IDs for members of your family not to exceed the number of spaces in the villa. BUT, if they are doing the dining plan, they would also have to pay for dining for each of those people they added to their room for the entire length of their stay.

If neither of you are DVC members, no one can pool hop over to another pool.

As DVC members, we should make sure that we abide by DVC rules.

We have had the same experience. We all had to take our room ID, most of the time we all had to show the ID shortly after we entered SAB. There was a CM who watched for people entering and would approach them before they got too far. Only a couple of times when it wasn't busy did we only have to show one ID to get towels and wristbands.
