Hi Everyone, I've been a long time gone, but the family is planning for a trip to the Villas this fall. So we are getting a couple 2-br dedicated villas. I have been looking at recent videos and pics after the renovation to get an idea how much gear is in the kitchens. If anyone was there recently that could speak to that, it would be much appreciated.

So coffee maker is a "flat bottom filter" type i.e. "Mr. Coffee" type, right? But you only get a few filters and grounds from what I read. We are planning a grocery trip, first day and will stock up. Any tips on what brand filters work?

Tea, since the coffee maker is going to be used heavily for the coffee drinkers, I need a tea solution. I read teapots are not provided. What about a saucepan I can just heat up some water on the stove? Are some mugs included?

Any Microwaves? Nearest one I could see is maybe in the Marketplace?

So we are mainly going to do breakfast in rooms. Looks like a toaster is provided. Is there a fry pan for eggs/hash browns?

I can see from videos there are plates and other stuff. Is there a full place setting for 8 people in there?

We are only there 4 days, so the washer/dryer may not be used, but you never know. Is detergent provided?

Since we have a fridge we can stock up on drinks (+adult drinks :)) from the grocery run, is the refillable mug still a good option? not many soft drink people in this group.

Do we have to bring our own dish soap and sponges?

Anything else you found useful in the villas? thanks!

also you usually get a small box of laundry detergent (enough for one load), a small bottle of dish detergent and dishwasher pods (1 or 2)

If you are staying on points, your supplies will be after your third night. If you are only there three nights, you won't get any replacements for amenities or towels. If you plan on doing laundry, bring detergent (standard or HE, but washers are standard not HE in the larger villas, HE only in the laundry rooms for the studios).

Deb, Actually, this is not a DVC rental, we booked it via regular resort bookings, which is why I was unsure of the kitchen contents. With 14 adults our choices were limited :) Our Disney travel agency was able to call and get our villas for the dates we needed. It was kinda a miracle :D I figure since it is a regular booking we should get the daily mousekeeping service with supplies. But I will take a close look at the detergent and pick some more up on our grocery runs! thx

Correct, with a cash reservation through Disney Reservation Center, you'll get a daily full cleaning and supplies replenished daily. But if you have a box of detergent sitting out, they won't leave another. It's been a weird green brand of detergent lately.
