Just wondering what type of view is a Beach Club Standard View. Any pics would be so very helpful! Our first time staying here and not sure if it worth shelling out extra $ for an upgraded view? What other type of accomodations are offered here? Thanks for whatever info you can provide us with. BTW, we will be travelling with our three children who I think would love SAB and therefore think we should try this one hotel.:goodvibes

I'm looking for some ideas also. We weren't able to get our first choice (YC) for an AP discounted room for our Grand Gathering in July. I had to switch to BC and 3 of the rooms are standard view. Any good standard view rooms to request?

I don't have any pics for you, but we've stayed at the BC 3 times, 2 of them in standard view and we love it. You will love SAB!

We love the Beach Club-SAB is great!! As well as Beaches & Cream!!!! We always do standard view and have been blessed to overlook either the volleyball court or the back courtyard--till last time!! We were overlooking an asphalt roof! It was AWFUL. I just couldn't keep looking at that for 8 more days, so we asked for a room change, again it was overlooking the back courtyard. We were sooo thankful for the change. Just make sure that you tell them when u are requesting, not the roof view!! I don't remember what the # was. I have to say that the BC has the best laundry room of any we have used. The dryers are super fast and there is one w&d (for free!!!) in the wing of the building to the side of the quiet pool. Gotta love that!!!

When we stayed at the Beach Club in 2006 we had a room that we loved. We were on the second floor, just a few steps from the stairs to the lobby. When we got in the room the bellhop was eager to show us that we had TWO balconies! We thought that was wonderful, until we saw that one balcony overlooked the main entrance (could see the driveway), and the second, a rooftop! So much for the view! But-it was SO handy being right by the lobby (above the Marketplace) that we just went with the flow and had a fantastic time. We are going again in August and seriously considered asking for the same room. Unfortunately we don't remember the number! But, it was sort of in an alcove, next to a suite, and it was very quiet. We found that the convenience far outweighed the need for a special view. We're never in the room much, anyway!

We stayed standard view and I loved it. We were on the top floor, overlooking the front entrance. I was 15 at the time, and loved watching the handsome valets running around. I would have paid extra for that view! :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

We had standard view - 3rd floor looking towards BC villas, but mostly our view was trees. So, nice but no view ;) Being down the end of the building, we could exit at the end and be at Epcot in about 3 minutes. Suited us just fine. We spent very little time in the room. Loved the BC and its location for everything. :thumbsup2

We too had the beautiful asphalt roof view! When you book standard view, that's always the potential. Although like a previous poster said, it's great as far as lobby/Marketplace convenience. The rest of my family's standard view looked over a grassy area (they arrived a few days before us). The year before, our standard view was first floor with a patio and was literally next door to Marketplace - now that was a great room!

Just switched from the WL courtyard bunkbeds to the BC standard. Hope we didn't make a mistake :scared:
We absolutely love the WL but didn't want the bunkbeds. It was a $16 upgrade to switch.
I would really like to make some kind of a request..... maybe no rooftop view  or just ask kindly if there are any upgrades available.

I don't have any pics for you, but we've stayed at the BC 3 times, 2 of them in standard view and we love it. You will love SAB!

We've stayed 4 times, 2 times standard view. It really did not matter to us, we were at WDW!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
