Beach Club rooms for convention

The last time I stayed at BC, we had a ground floor room by Epcot and LOVED it. This time, I'll be there 2 of the 5 days for a convention and it looks to be quite a walk from that section. Any recommendations on a different room request? Or should I just suck it up and try for what I like before?

Where is the convention? At BW? Yacht Club? Somewhere else?

At any rate, I wouldn't stress about the location. Yes, the hallways can be quite a walk but certainly not as far as what you would walk just to get to Epcot.

Are your meetings at the Convention Center? You’ll have to go out thru the lobby to get there if it is. So you could request close to the lobby/ elevators to cut down on your walking thru hallways. But you said the convention is only 2 of the 5 days. What are your plans the other days & what are you doing in the evenings during the convention? If you’re going into Epcot those evenings or the other days, requesting the location you had before seems reasonable. If you’re planning to take buses or the boat to Studios most of the time, a room close to the lobby would be more convenient.
