I have never stayed at either Beach Club or Yacht Club.
I own at Boardwalk, and usually book at 11 months to get a boardwalk view studio (just 2 of us)
Looking to try out our neighbor across the pond, Beach club villas.
I notice they only have studio one bedroom, and two bedroom. No premium views or amenities ?
Does that mean the Beach Club Villas don't have a view of the Boardwalk?

That’s right. Booking is simple out BCV when it comes to room type. You just choose the size and nothing else. You either get pool view, wood view, or partial parking lot/entrance view. There are a very very small number that have a courtyard view as well. While there is no bookable room type you can always request the view as described above. You own at a BWV so a great comparison is the standard view wing there.

Correct. What you see from Crescent lake is actually the hotel section. The Villas are located at a back corner of the property (it was actually built on the old valet parking lot). Some rooms look at the BCV quiet pool, others trees and some rooms overlook the road, some over the canal and some towards the courtyard between the hotel and the villas. A very few rooms have see some of the high Illuminations fireworks but it is not like the Boardwalk view rooms at BWV.

I'm not certain what you are referring to when you ask about amentities?

BCV are underwhelming or slightly less underwhelming. Book BCV for the location and the pool, wich are amazing, not for the views :)

BCV has the advantage of being a bit closer to Epcot than BWV.

Boardwalk is unusual in the DVC universe. When it was built, the hotel and the timeshare units were designed as two parts of a whole. Prior to BW, OKW was the only DVC resort - and it was built as stand alone DVC. Post BWV, hotel/DVC resorts were hotels first, and then were retrofitted to have DVC units - often in a new building that was put on extra land as an afterthough, sometimes with existing spaces remade as DVC units - as was said, BCV is in the old valet parking lot. The only other resort designed like BWV was - as both hotel and timeshare units - is Aulani. They were still testing concepts and sales with BWV - in some ways the timeshare units are more central to the resort than the hotel side (the theme pool is on the timeshare side).
