Beach club room size

Is it much smaller than the Contemporary? If you have 5 in the party, do you get day bed or pull out sofa!

We've never stayed at the Contemporary but we have stayed at BLT and the BC rooms seemed bigger than the BLT studios. The last time we were at the BC we had 2 queen sized beds and also a pullout couch.

BC does have some rooms that sleep 5, and they do have rooms with daybeds, but even if you book with a party of 5 there is no guarantee you'll have a daybed in your room. They try their best, but there is a chance you could get stuck with a roll-away. I believe the only resorts that guarantee a daybed for your 5th person are CR, Poly, and GF. And yes the rooms at the CR are larger.

What percentage of BC rooms have day beds? Are the rooms with day beds concentrated in certain parts of the resort (or are they randomly dispersed throughout)?

And yes, BC just had a renovation a few years ago. Maybe it's the style of furniture you don't like? I think the rooms are very upscale compared to some other Disney resorts.

Although we have never stayed at CR, we did find the rooms at BC nicer than the rooms at the Poly.

In terms of convenient location, CR is definitely more convenient to MK. But we loved BC for the convenient access to EP and DHS, our two favorite parks.

Sorry I don't really know since I haven't stayed at contemporary yet and beach club in a while but we are also a family of 5 and one thing we learned is to always bring an air mattress on our trips anywhere since most places(not Disney) have almost no rooms for family's of 5.

If you look at a room map for BC, you will see that there are a lot of different sized rooms. That is why, for many years, there were even some rooms with two double beds and no daybed - because they were smaller rooms (my understanding is that now they all have two queens although I would wonder how they fit them in a few of those rooms ). So when you compare a BC room to a CR room (which are all the same size, excepting suites) it can be hard to compare. Some rooms feel a little smaller, and some seem a lot smaller. I've been in BC rooms with and without the daybed, but I'm usually a party of one or two, so it hasn't been an issue.

Personally, if I were a party of five, I would probably choose either CR, Poly, or GF, because of the larger standard rooms.

If its in the budget, BC offers a Deluxe room which is very large, and has 2 queens & a daybed.

CR has the largest standard room at WDW at 422 sq. ft. Poly is 410 and GDF are 400.

BC/YC, and BW standard rooms are 380 sq. ft.
