Beach Club Room Request Suggestions?

This will be my first time staying at the Beach Club and I have no clue what kind of view to request. So I was hoping some of the Beach Club experts could help me out. :sunny:

I booked a standard room and requested a non-smoking room but that's about it so far. I know I'd like to be on an upper floor with a balcony(a full size balcony really doesn't matter)
Basically I'm just trying to figure out what kind of view I'd like. I really have no desire to look at a parking lot and I heard there's an ugly rooftop, which I don't want to stare at either. :rotfl: What are my other options for types of views? :)

The one time we stayed there we lucked out and got upgraded to concierge for free! It was awesome.

Anyway, I always ask for the top floor/non smoking. Other than that, my requests are limited.

For the standard view I would recommend asking for a woods view. The three options for standard view are parking lot, roof or woods. I have had the roof top view and it's not pretty!! In June I asked and received a woods view which was much nicer.

Sometimes these rooms can be quite far from the elevators, so if that is important to you, you might want to add "close to elevators" too.

I'll be at BCV in Feb, so

Montana Disney Fan: Wow, that's great that you got upgraded! :) I wouldn't mind that happening. :teeth:

TinkbellFan: Thanks for the advice. I'll request a woods view. As long as I'm not looking at a roof or parking lot, I think I'll be ok with the long walk to the elevators. :)

Disney's Beach Club Resort just started putting 2 Double Beds in some of their rooms. No longer are you Guaranteed to have 2 Queen Beds. I would definately request 2 Queen Beds when you make your reservation. The Yacht Club still has 2 Queen Beds guaranteed in their rooms. :earsboy:

Thanks for the warning. I had no idea that the Beach Club had double beds. I'll make sure to request 2 queen beds. :)

According to the Unofficial Guide (last year's I think), they recommend asking for a room near a quiet pool & elevator/lobby, upper floor facing Epcot or lake(This has got to be more expensive but never hurts to ask). If you want a "real" balcony, you need to request a "full" one.
Specifically they say the following room numbers are great to ask for:
even numbers 3662-3726, 4662-4726, and 5662-5726. I believe it has something to do with the odd numbers on these floors have an unattractive view of a roof...
Hope this helps.

Thanks so much, it helped a lot. :) If I had a woods view would I be facing Epcot?
