Hi all,

I'm going back to Disney - Yeahhhhh!

I'm staying at the Beach Club Resort for the first time. I love trying new places but I feel uncomfortable not knowing what area to ask for my room to be in. I would appreciate suggestions!

(By the way, does anyone have a map with room numbers on it? I found maps on line, but there are no room numbers.)

I ride an ECV/scooter, but I can walk short distances. I prefer to be in a room that's near to the pool, dining, etc., as we use the hotel amenities a lot, but I also want the room quiet. I am a light sleeper, dealing with sleep apnea. I also need to rest during the day sometimes.

From what I'm reading, I'd really prefer a room with a full balcony. Are the rooms on the first floor nice also? Do they have chairs to sit outside your room? Or would it be more pleasant to be on an upper floor?

We don't have a water view, but there's always hope they would upgrade us. I would appreciate any suggestions on what areas would be best for us.

Any other tips for getting the most out of the Beach club would be very appreciated! Thanks!!!!!!

It’s never a good idea to request a specific room; it’s not much more advisable to request a range of rooms. The less specific any requests are, the more likely they are to be met.
List the features you desire in the order of importance, and request that “a quiet room with a full balcony, near pools and dining” or whatever order matters most. If Disney can't grant all your requests, they work from the top down. Also, naturally, the fewer requests you have the more likely they are to be met.

Hi - thanks for the suggestion. Once we get there, they do often allow me a choice between a couple/few rooms, if the resort is not too full. I would love to know in advance what the better locations are for my situation. Any advice would be appreciated!

Are you needing an accessible room? If so there is only one "block" of accessible rooms at the Beach Club vs. them being spread out in many other resorts. ---Kathy

Hi - nope I don't need an accessable room. Though I use an electric scooter I don't need any of the special amenities in those rooms, as I can stand and walk. I believe that the scooters can pass through all doors at Disney resorts. A regular room should be fine. I just need to keep walking to a minimum, and there are times when we go somewhere without my scooter. This means I need to walk to the car.

By the way, my husband is recovering from a broken foot, so it would be better for him too, to be near the pool, restaurants, etc... He won't be using a scooter. But we're still hoping for a quiet and pretty location with a full balcony that we can relax in.

I'd love to know what room numbers and areas would be best for us. Thanks!!!!
