Hello everybody-
My 20-year-old daughter & I are planning a WDW trip in January of 2006. I had originally planned to make reservations for a moderate, but many of you have convinced me to try the BC or one of the Epcot resorts. I'm being swayed over to that side and probably won't be happy until I make it happen!

So, give me your best advice on what I should do in order to get the best possible price.

Thanks!

I'm sure you will enjoy either resort, but I understand how you feel!! One bit of advice, :flower: Keep an eye out for discounts!

I agree with snuggles. I love the Epcot resorts and stay there when I can. To start saving, try to go during a vaule season which I think January is and look for discount codes. If you are an AP holder, check with the AP office when the discounts are released for the time you are going and see if you can get a better price.

Good luck, you are going to have a great vacation!

You can also look into renting DVC points to stay at BCV. We did this last year, and it was MUCH less expensive than paying cash for the room. Plus the "studio" features were nice (kitchenette, sofa, etc).

Do you have AAA? That's always the easiest way to get a discount. it's usually small, but something is better than nothing.

Then, as it gets closer to the time you want to travel, watch for AP discounts. If one comes out, call and see what the rates would be for you. It may be worth it for one person in your travel party to get an annual pass.

I you're going S-Th look to rent points for BCV or even BWV. You might also look at S/D.

Look on mousesavers.com to keep you updated on all current discount codes available. I have stayed at deluxe for years and never paid rack rates. There are usually general discount codes at off times and postcards. Also, we have an annual pass and there are usually AP rates that save approx $100 off reg room rates. Worth it to buy an AP for at least 1 person to save the extra 600-700 for the week!
Beach Club is our favorite resort- it is well worth it for the location, but I would never pay full rack rate- it's crazy!
