So I called CRO this afternoon to pay my deposits, and I mentioned that I had heard that renovations were going to happen at the Beach Club. CRO tells me they know nothing about this, says someone else also said the same thing this morning, and puts me on hold to go check that information. She comes back and tells me that there is nothing going on at Beach Club. She does mention the CBR rehab.

I guess the rehab there is not a big deal and I hope it doesn't interfer with our vacation. I was thinking about moving the YC but I guess I'll stay where I am. As long as Stormalong bay is open and I get a full balcony, I can cope with whatever else comes along...

Hi -- we're staying at the BC in early Jan. Do you have an idea when the renovations (?) were supposed to begin? Thanks

I am heading to the Beach Club in Nov. We have upgraded to the lagoon view concierge with the new discount!!!!!!
Anyways, I emailed Disney to see if the renovations would be going on and they told me that the concierge renovations would begin in Feb. 2003, apparently they are starting on the lower floors. Good Luck.. Maybe try calling the B.C. directly.

My DW and I are going in Nov. We called BC directly since CRO seems to be "out of the loop" on news/information of any kind.

The CM told us that BC guest rooms are being scheduled for rennovation, however, the work should not interfere with guests and will not impact any common areas (lobby, pools, dock, recreation, restaurant, shops, etc.). They are working on the lower floor rooms first and blocking out sections to work on.

If you have requests for specific rooms, we were told they will try to accommodate those, however, they may not be able to fulfill all requests given the rennovations.

Thanks for the info. I feel better about staying at the BC now. Sounds like the rehab won't be too bad. We stayed at the Poly when they were renovating but didn't notice it much - of course, we were only there for one night! . I really hope I can get a full balcony with a decent view, but I guess we'll deal with whatever we get.

Check on the Y&BC FAQ Thread. I know there were some discussions on there. Maybe there is some more detailed info there.
