Hi,
We ar considering a stay at the Beach Club. We keep going back and forth between BC and AKL. While I love AKL, I have always wanted to stay at BC. so here are my questions. I know that the bus is shared with YC, BW, and S/D. In what order does the bus pick up guests? Will we have a hard time getting a seat? We are traveling with our elderly parents and want to make sure they get a seat.
2nd question, we are thinking of getting standard view rooms. Is it possible to have a view of EPCOT with standard view? If so, what area would we need to request?
Thanks, everyone.

When I've taken the bus, the Beach Club is usually the 4th or 5th stop in the route, so getting a seat could be a problem during peak times. The five resorts only share a bus to the Animal Kingdom. The Yacht & Beach Club have their own bus to the Magic Kingdom.

We are also considering Beach Club for our trip in Dec. We got a great price overflow from SOG (DH is a Marine) so couldn't resist. We love the quick walk to Epcot but it's been 10 years since we stayed at the BC and at that time had a horrible experience with mousekeeping. We have a standard room - any advice from recent stays are appreciated also! We requested 2 queen beds with daybed (kids won't share a bed, DS will kick DD out of the bed by sleeping sideways during the night - it's actually kinda funny).

I'm not speaking from experience but from reading the boards... I thought that the buses are not doing all the Epcot resorts now, perhaps with the exception of DTD route. I think there is no static route system but that it changes with the crowd pattern. Since I have heard of these changes, I have not heard of many complaints on the DVC board (BWV and BCV are over there). Previously there were many!

If you don't get any answers here you might want to post on the transportation board or do a search over there.

O.k, I will definitely research further. If bus service is not good, then we will not stay at beach club :guilty: . Since we are traveling with our elderly parents, I don't want to worry about seating. And these days people don't always give up their seat for someone in need.
Thanks, everyone.

FWIW, we used the bus to go from BC to AK last week. Getting to the AK was no problem, plenty of seats, but we got on one of the first buses that morning. When returning that afternoon around 4:45, the bus was fairly full but only a few people had to stand. The problem was the bus stopped at every EPCOT resort (BW, Swan, Dolphin, YC) before finally dropping us off at the BC. It took 43 minutes from when we left AK until we were dropped off. I wouldn't have minded so much by our 18 month old DS was not too happy :guilty:

We stayed at the BC in July and were not impressed with the bus service. We waited quite a while each time we used the buses. The return trips from the parks were quite crowded and we often had to stand. The BC was the last stop on the way home each time. The buses would stop at the Swan, Dolphin, Yacht and then BC. We loved the proximity and short walk to Epcot though! The resort was also beautiful and spotlessly clean. You also cannot beat SAB. :earsgirl:

OK maybe I was wrong. I thought they had adjusted the buses to solve this problem.... :confused3
