Hi! Our trip is still over a year away so I know this is premature, but I am wondering about the movie nights at both Beach Club and Ft. Wilderness. This will be our first DVC-member trip, but NOT our first to WDW. So needless to say we are excited already!! We will be spending 10 nights at BWV (our home resort), but going to the parks 6 or 7 days. We have not decided yet on the 6 or 7 day park thing, because we are waiting until August when we book our trip to buy our tickets. So if Undercover Tourist still has the 7-day ticket for the price of 4 days, we will go with that and have an extra day going to Epcot to eat around the world and have a less hectic, more relaxing park day. Anyway, I am also wondering about these movie nights. Here are my questions:

1. Do they give you a schedule of which movies they are showing on which nights for BC and Ft. Wilderness?
2. If we had to choose one of them to go to, which one is better? The convenience of BC being right across the lake, or the entertainment at FW?
3. Do you have to pay extra for the sing-along with Chip & Dale at FW?
4. Do you pay extra for snacks like smores and popcorn?
5. Do you need a reservation for the sing along at FW?
6. About what time do these events generally start and end? The day we go will depend on how late they run and what we have planned for the following day.
7. Do they have these movie nights every night or only certain nights throughout the week?
8. Are there any other similar events to these that I am missing?

Thanks to all!!

I can only answer your first question. There should be a schedule in the check-in packet for those at BCV. However, I see you're at BWV, so just look at the sign up on the beach in back of BCV-

The times and specific movies change every month, so don't go by the sign in the picture! And of the two, BC and FW, I'd recommend BC for you only because it's so easy to get to. And be aware that if it rains, they show the movies in the Solarium, right by BCMarketplace. I've always loved the movies on the beach at BCV, and I did walk over once from BWV. It's nice to stop into B&C to get a quick ice cream cone to eat during the movie. And it's so nice if the time is such that you can see the Illuminations Fireworks going off in the backroud of the movie-

Just back a week ago, and we did BC movie one nite. THe campfire was nice (did pay extra for the smore/marshmellow "kits"), but the nite we were there nobody was singing, or the CM's weren't trying to "lead" any songs. It was such a peaceful setting tho, and the kids had a great relaxing time watching HSM III on the big screen. DH and I just enjoyed soaking up the breeze off the lake!!

I just got back from FW a couple weeks ago and went to the campfire and sing-along while there. Last time I was at the BC movie night was this past summer.

1. Do they give you a schedule of which movies they are showing on which nights for BC and Ft. Wilderness? Yes
2. If we had to choose one of them to go to, which one is better? The convenience of BC being right across the lake, or the entertainment at FW? I think that which is better depends on the movie playing and where you are staying. The FW campfire will take a while to get to if you are not staying there. The BC campfire was a LOT less crowded than FW when we went but that may be a function of the time of year.
3. Do you have to pay extra for the sing-along with Chip & Dale at FW? No
4. Do you pay extra for snacks like smores and popcorn? Yes, at both
5. Do you need a reservation for the sing along at FW? No. The sing-along is just basically one performer with a guitar who talks to the crowd and sings a couple songs before the movie. It was fun, but not something I would necessarily go out of my way to do, especially if the campfire is packed. Perhaps in a smaller group the sing-along would be more fun but half the people there were walking around looking for a seat or talking instead of participating in the sing-along. Perhaps in a less crowded time that would not be the case. Chip & Dale are introduced by the sing-along person then a line forms to see them.
6. About what time do these events generally start and end? The day we go will depend on how late they run and what we have planned for the following day.Depends on the time of year. Generally things get rolling near dusk.
7. Do they have these movie nights every night or only certain nights throughout the week? FW is every night, I'm not sure about BC.

Thank you everyone! Seems like the one at the Beach Club will be better for us, more convenient, and they still have the campfire and smores! Perhaps we will see Chip & Dale at a character meal...DH loves them! ;)

And if you're planning on dinner at SSR or DTD, you might want to check out SSR's evening poolside movies ( not sure if they are scheduled every night however ).
