I posted this on the Beach Club thread but was hoping for some feedback from those who have stayed there and may not follow that thread. :)
We are pretty sure we will be booking The Beach Club for our Aug 2010 trip...but I was looking at the menus for the Beach Club Marketplace at allearsnet.com and had a few questions. It looks like it has a lot less offerings than the typical resort CS places (at Deluxe resorts). Just curious what your opinions are? Can we re-fill our re-fillable mugs there? What are the kids options for breakfast? The only 2 things listed for kids are PB&J or Turkey sandwich? Is that about the extent of it? I am a little concerned because a decent CS is important to us. We have enjoyed the ones at the Poly and AKL..If you have stayed at BC what do you do for CS for breakfast or other meals on the go? TIA !

Yes you can.

If there's no kids breakfast menu they can order from the regular menu. This is assuming you are on the dining plan.

Yep that's it. Those are not breakfast items - it's for after 11 AM.

I take it you're on the dining plan. There arent' a lot of CS breakfast options in that area. Besides the continental breakfasts at Yacht Club and Boardwalk, the Boardwalk Bakery is the only other CS breakfast.

The Marketplace is a bit limited for food compared to other places. They do have cereal for the kids, some fruit, and an assortment of pastries - but they seem really big and dessert-like to me. On occassion I've seen bagels and they do have an egg and cheese croissant. I guess if you compared it to Captain Cooks at Poly you would find it very different - there's no "grill," it's all stuff that's prepared in advance. Never been in there at dinner time so I can't comment on what they have at that time. With that said - my kids eat cereal every day so it's not a big deal for us.

I have to agree here, we just stayed at BC for our December trip and found that there was a very limited menu for breakfast. My DH did like the egg and sausage croissant sandwich and my kids always got cereal while I just had coffee in the mornings. We were never there for lunch or dinner so can't comment on it, but to tell you the truth we usually found ourselves over at Hurricane Hannahs or Beaches and Cream for either lunch or dinner so there is a suggestion for those meals.
