Beach Club/BLT availability

We own at Aulani, but want to do a split stay at Beach Club and BLT next year over spring break. (1 Bedroom). Given that it is peak time, I'm assuming I will need to try to rent points from someone with home resort because availability will be gone by my 7 month window. Does anyone have any experience to confirm this. And any insight into how likely one of the big rental agencies (David's, DVC rental store) will be able to make a match for me? I know about the forums here, but don't feel comfortable with that kind of private rental. Thanks.

Almost impossible to predict availability. Spring Break while busy at the parks is not as busy with DVC bookings as Food and Wine and early Dec. Beach Club will be much harder due to size.

As to renting. To me if one is not comfortable with a private rental not sure a broker is going to change that. You still are dealing with an unknown member that owns the reservation until you check in. To me the advantage of a broker is convenience not security.

Define "spring break." The week before and after Easter have slightly higher demand, but I don't think you'd have any trouble getting a 1 bedroom anywhere that time of year.

we would be there 2 -3 weeks before easter, leaving about 1 week before easter.

I would think you would be fine at the 7 month mark for that timeframe.

I think you will be fine too. I have booked BCV every April break with my 7 month points. Studio and 2br too. 1br is easier. BLT standard will probably not be available all of your days. Lake likely will.

We are going over Easter this year and had BCV booked at 7 months. The I cancelled about 3 weeks later as we decided we preferred a renovated room so we booked BWV boardwalk view. I was surprised how much was wide open.

Spring Break is not a peak desired time for DVC members. Way too many people and points are high.

All the spring break weeks, including the two Easter weeks, are low to moderate DVC demand times at WDW. For 2013 through 2016, BCV and BLT 1BRs (except BLT standard view), and BWV 1BRs (all views) were open at 7 months out for the time you want, including when it was Easter time.

I was able to book a BLT lake view (studio) for spring break (the week leading into Easter for us) a few years ago closer to the 6 month mark!! There are no guarantees of course but I agree that the availability may not be quite as bad as you think - especially if you're not going during either of the weeks surrounding Easter. Just be sure to book right at 8:00 am on your 7 month window.
