Hi all -
We are checking out this morning and called bell services. No one answered after multiple attempts. I called guest services and we were told bell services is closed. we have stayed at multiple resorts at WDW in including beach and yacht - we have never run into this before.

Is this new? We ended up schlepping ourselves down to meet the car service. We had to leave the owners lockers in the room rather than at bell services. The front desk said they’d send someone up to get them so here’s hoping they make it back to base,

Thanks!!

When you called, I wonder if you spoke to someone at an off-site call center who didn't know what they were talking about. If I end up over there I will ask.

By all accounts Disney Bell Services are 24/7 unless there has been a recent change. Next time go down to the bell desk (or front desk if no one is at the bell desk) and ask for help in person. Centralized services answers your room phone and they’re basically useless.

Thanks - the whole thing was weird. We have been staying on property for 15+ years with two trips per year and this has never happened to us. When we got to the porte cochere, no one was at bell services and I went in to the desk. The desk person apologized but didn’t say anything about bell services being closed. I’m just hoping they picked up our lockers like they said they would.

I have actually encountered this at BWI in the late evening. I went to pick up some groceries that had been delivered and there was a sign at Bell Services saying it was closed and to go to the front desk.

I’m just hoping they picked up our lockers like they said they would.
You should get an email from Owners Locker later today telling you that yours is back in the warehouse, but you can also call them at (800) 431-6588 to confirm yours is on the list for pickup today and let them know there might have been a snafu. However, I’m sure Housekeeping will call Bell Services when they go to clean the room, if Bell Services doesn’t pick it up beforehand.

We only had this issue at BLT, but it was the pandemic so things were weird anyway.

I hope it all works out. I'd be upset as that time isn't unreasonable for an early flight!

Not sure of the hours however we had a bag delayed by an airline that was delivered after 1AM and yes it was to the front desk as Bell services was closed. We were informed by Bell services they close at ? cant recall the time but the front desk would accept the bag and call us to come down and get the bag. This was at BW.

We recently stayed at BRV and were waiting for a bag that “missed” our flight. The airline did eventually get it to the resort, but we were informed by bell services (we stopped by after eating dinner) that it would most likely arrive in the very early morning hours. They offered to deliver it to our room when it arrived (1:30 a.m.; we received a text from the airline), but we opted to pick it up later that morning instead. We also had a 4:00 a.m. car service airport pickup on that trip (for a 7:00 a.m. flight) but we only had two bags and opted to carry (wheel) them ourselves over to the WL lobby. As one might expect, we ran into no one else except a security guard and housekeeping staff. I didn’t notice anyone at bell services, but of course that doesn’t mean someone wasn’t around. We have used bell services on other trips for early airport pickups (4:00 a.m.-ish). However we have usually (although not always) “reserved” a pickup ahead of time.

Can't speak to bell services at the BC, but as someone who has worked at Disney hotels as well as other non Disney properties, it is not unusual to have only 3-10 people working on an overnight shift. The number will depend of the level of hotel and services offered. When I first started at Disney and got promoted I had to work the "graveyard" shift for a short time, it was at one of the moderates (over 2K rooms) and there were 7 of us in total, some nights only 6. 3 to 4 at the front desk, a bell person, then the rest spread out between housekeeping and custodial. It was basically the same at the other resorts, we would call each other to stay awake once the system would go down at night to refresh and update (took 2-3 hours back then). It was the same after I left Disney and moved to a different hotel company. The 4.5 star hotel I was at in Boston had only 3 people most nights, even when we were full. They learned how to do just about everything!

We recently had poor service from bell services at OKW. They lost some of our groceries, which was very strange since we personally dropped off the groceries (made a stop on the way to the resort). All of the bags were together and there were no other grocery bags when we dropped off.

They tried to make it right by replacing the missing items, but it wasn't the exact same items we bought. I was very disappointed and frustrated.
