Thinking head and curious how much the daily chair/umbrella rentals are at Disney's HHI or if it would be more cost effective to bring our own. Can't seem to find the info on the website anywhere.

thanks!

We were there 2 weeks ago and I think they wanted $35 or so per day. Also it should be noted that you are not renting them from Disney but from a third party -- The beach outside Disney's Beach House is a public beach

Thanks!! For that price I think we will be better off bringing our own since we are driving anyways.

It was $32 a day in June at the Disney beach. For that you got 2 chairs and an umbrella and they were set up in a line of maybe 10 - 15 chairs. The chairs had a footrest thingy on them. The guards would start setting them up about 8am.

I was usually there by 6am and when the guards would come, it would be time to put up my umbrella. For me time to leave was about 10am when the sun was getting hot, and more people were coming onto the beach. At least once I try to get there for sunrise (as do quite a few folks.)

Costco has the Tommy Bahama umbrellas and chairs for $25 (chair) $30 (umbrella). Easy to carry like a backpack with padded straps. We've had them at least 3-4 seasons and trips to HH. I saw a lot of these same chairs on the beach.

The rentals are regular height chairs. I prefer a sand chair height at the beach.

A friend was at HHI this past August, flew down. Instead of renting, they purchased chairs, umbrella and at the end of the week when someone was checking in, asked if they wanted them.

Think if we make it to HHI in May, we will do the same!:thumbsup2:)

We were in HH this summer. ( at a resort next to the Beach House) and rented. Yes they were not cheap but super comfortable and it was so easy. We didn't want to haul that stuff to the beach and our condo was front row. I know we would not haul from DVC.

Also the price per day goes down the more days you rent. I always get a week even if I may skip a day

'Hauling from DVC' wasn't much of a chore for us. They just stayed in the vehicle and going early I parked under the beach house.

The beach house walk to the beach area also has a mesh type rug which is really easy to walk on across the dune area to the solid packed sand.

The beach house is also pretty much as close as you can get a building to the water.

Going to the beach at Hilton Head is so easy, even when carrying stuff. When I have a lot of stuff I use the beach cart for all our stuff, which makes it pretty simple to even carry a small cooler.

I often stay at the Westin Hotel on Hilton Head. Oceanfront room. That's when I don't like to lug my stuff.
