There were 3 options for the concert on Sunday.
1 - Priority Seating - Got boxed food, and a priority seat, much like Fantasmic.
2 - Preferred Seating - If you ate at either Soap Opera or the Vineyard and spent at least $25, you could get seated after the priority folks.
3 - Normal Entry - You could wait in a line for entry to some seating and good standing views of the stage. (line was along the Wharf bridge). We decided not to do this. And just stand behind, which was fine for us.
The concert was on a built stage jutting out from the bay promenade (across from San Francisco St.).
We got there just as they were starting the first show, and it was great. We didn't wait, but we could still see and hear them if standing...granted we saw through peoples heads, but it was really not that big of a deal. After, we went and ate, and came back for the second show. Again, we didn't wait, and though it was crowded, we still had a great show experience.
To folks who care about the park, and not the concerts...don't worry, because of the large size of the pathways, you can walk around those folks who are watching, and you can't hear them if in another section of the park besides the pier/wharf area.
The shows were 50 minute sets, with an encore. It was really a high energy great show, with a lot of jokes, and it was a blast. I loved the age mixture from 2 year olds to folks in their 20's (like me) and up to a gentleman standing in front of us, who had a Happy Birthday age 84 sticker).
It was great.
Just thought you guys should know about the preferred and such
All my best
