Beach beds on Cococay question

Hello, I just purchased a beach bed for our Cococay day (if they actually can stop there) and I was wondering how they get assigned. I have read different articles where some people say they are assigned on a first come first served basis when you arrive at the beach and others have said that you need to go to the excursion desk on day one to pick your bed. Does anyone know the correct answer? I’m sure they are all good, but would like one closer towards the water vs. further back. Thanks for any help.
