Has anyone ate at BOG recently? We were there a few years ago and loved it but have seen a few reviews lately about it not being as good and somewhat dirty. We are supposed to go in a few weeks. Can anyone share their recent experience?

My parents ate there last month and said the food was very mediocre and not worth the price. They didn't say anything about it being dirty but did mention that the restaurant is very loud.

I'm sure this doesn't qualify as "recent". We were there in late April of this year. I found it loud and they were seating way too many parties for the number of servers they had working that day. Our server essentially disappeared, not his fault but it did slow us down when it came time to cash out. I thought the food was "meh", better than when I ate there in 2018 but not a home run. It's super tempermental.

Honestly, if I had to choose between CRT breakfast and BOG lunch, I'd choose CRT, even in its current iteration.

The first 2-3 years after it opened we thought the food pretty good.

Then, we did lunch QS where I could not get the half&half pitcher's lid to twist so it was open. (It ought to have been ready to pour.) The nearby CM (a guy) gave it a quick flick and shoved it toward me with a "Geez, you're dumb" look. I haven't a lot of hand strength due to arthritis and wanted to throw the pitcher at his head.

Finding a CM when you needed anything went waaaay downhill after that as did quality.

We won't go back, definitely not with the prix fixe menu.

CRT is far better anymore with generally very good service.

We haven't eaten there recently, but did prior to that new pricey fixed menu. Our lunch was nothing special and have no plans to return. I agree with others that the place is very loud perhaps due to the design of the interior. No idea why some find it anything special. I assume the new pricey fixed menu (both lunch & dinner) is an attempt to manage the number of people eating there. It is a long way to the far back of the park to get there and only one popular ride nearby. Won't be eating there if we go again to Disney.

We have eaten there a number of times. Had amazing service from Mark on a couple of those visits.

Got seated at a 2 top along the path where the servers come and go on our last trip. Won’t sit there again.

Also not recent, but October 2021, we thought the service was excellent and the food was pretty good. With the understanding that character meals are generally at a price premium due to that character interaction, and not the food, we were totally happy and would do it again.

We were last there Thanksgiving Week 2021 and thought dinner was just as wonderful as always. We visit every few years it is a favorite.

I love BOG and eat there multiple times a year. While I love the food and the environment I will warn you that the experience and portions are much less than they were years ago. I miss the Chip chocolate cup most of all.

We were there in May and it was as wonderful as the previous 5 times. Going again next week.

Totally agree about the Chip cup. For Pete's Sake, they should have kept for adults also. Kills us to see the little kids in the next table eating it.

We ate there last September because two people we went with never ate there. My personal opinion is I won't do it again. It almost feels like counter service with the crowds and noise level and the food is not that great. The restaurant is pretty for sure but I don't think the cost is worth it. The service was slow. When you see the beast come out 8 times (not meet and greet) you start realizing how long you've been there. If you've never done it before try it for the experience as you may really enjoy it. I think the first visit is better than future visits.

Had dinner there about 3 1/2 weeks ago, our first visit. Food good and service good enough that I tipped 25%. The Beast made a couple of appearances, but no interaction. Probably won't go back - there are other restaurants that I like better.

Went last May so been a few months, but the tweens in our party were not super impressed although the chip cup painting dessert was the star of the show. It just feels so rushed and impersonal now compared to what it used to - the magic is a bit gone?

Never heard anything about it being dirty but we were one and done there, Just Ok food for a ridiculously high price......Totally not worth it

Ate there in May this year and found the food good and the experience worth it. When we do Disney dining, we want something unique that we can't get back home and decent food, and Be Our Guest fits the bill. We were in the West Wing/Rose room. Cool experience, albeit a bit loud. I wouldn't mind trying the Ballroom next time if given the choice.

My son and I ate there last Saturday. The service was perfect and the food (we both got the beef and onion soup) was delicious. We like the noisy atmosphere but we did notice that some of the tables are not well situated.
We were happy we went, our third time in 6 months, but we do think it is expensive.
(We don’t care about the Beast but like watching the children get excited.)
