Oh my..!! I just snagged an ADR for Saturday at BOG at 4:45!! We live about 2 hours away so our day trips are usually short notice and I just so happen to be looking for dining options and it popped up! I didn't think twice and booked it before it was gone. Now can someone please let me know what to expect for my party of 3, myself, DH and DD9. I've peeked at the menu but I'm wondering about food quality, top rated items and atmosphere. Is this really a must do?

Yay!! You will LOVE BOG!

There's just something about eating in an castle! We enjoy BOG because I feel like we can slow down and enjoy our meal here more than at most other places. We typically don't get an appetizer before our meal at WDW because we don't like to walk around the parks feeling stuffed but we do get the Meat/Cheese appetizer at BOG. Oh so yummy!! We also get a bottle of wine and since we don't pound it (LOL) that helps to make our meal a bit more drawn out and relaxing. I think everyone in my family and extended family gets the steak here (even me and I don't eat a lot of red meat). Every time we go I am so tempted to try some of the other items that sound so yummy but the steak is sooooo good!

We aren't big on the desserts at BOG though. The ones we have had were all very good, we just think there are more interesting options to be found at other places in the park.

I had dinner at BOG today and I just want to tell everyone how amazing I thought it was!!! Thank you to everyone who replied with feedback, good or bad, it was much appreciated.

We had reservations at 4:45. I asked to be seated in the west wing as a request of my daughters, they said yes and off we went.

My daughter and I both had the steak, both cooked to perfection and DH had the scallops and shrimp. He ate every last bite, his only criticism was it only had two scallops but on another note he said it had huge pieces of lobster which wasn't in the description.

We had the chocolate cupcake, which was incredibly rich. I could've lived without it as we were all so stuffed but it came with my daughters meal and she chose that because it was supposedly Beast's favorite dessert.

All in all I will definitely visit again, the atmosphere, the service and food were all incredible. It was a great ending to our day trip to Disney!!

I'm so glad you all enjoyed yourselves. I thought the same thing about the scallops as your husband did, but, yes, the lobster made up for it for me, too. I think scallops do outprice lobster now. Scallops have been going up up up and last I heard there was a glut of lobster (but of course prices never drop too low on it).

Thanks! I thought that must be the case. I tend to look for a logical answer when something confuses me.
