I somehow was able to get a ressie yesterday for our December trip. I'm not sure exactly how I lucked out, but I put in my date/time in the morning and kept refreshing the screen throughout the day. Imagine my surprise when something actually popped up! I'd say if you have availability to do the same, give it a try. Best of luck & don't give up hope!
(I've also seen people comment to try it when it's closer, as people plan a little more specifically and fine tune their days)
Diligence and patience and luck. Just keep trying! Last year, I was able to make a reservation for dinner at BOG for 4 people, just 2 days before our Disney trip!
Use the touring plans reservation finder. Enter what you're looking for and they will send you a text and/or email when something becomes available. You have to be quick about following up to make the reservation, but I can almost guarantee that they'll find you something.
I agree with PP - I had given up on BOG but the reservation finder found me a reservation within about 3 weeks of setting up the search. (and I was being picky with the day & time!) Good luck!
Also, at 60 and 30 days out people choose their fast passes, then they change up their schedules. I have a few I might cancel, depending on my fps, but they're for September. That, and my DS and family are probably not going to meet up with us.
I used touringplans reservation finder. Only took a few days and was able to snag 1:50pm Lunch spot on thanksgiving week. I suspect closer to your date people will frequently cancel/change their plans.
