Be Our Guest

Thanks. Good advice.

Our other MK dinner will be CRT, so I have a feeling that one will be tough too :-(

We have CRT too! :-). I booked that as our first MK dinner and made sure BOG was later. Book online right at 6:00 a.m. and hopefully you'll be all set.

Still waiting for March FP+ dates to open up...this is on our must do list for lunch when we visit! Fingers crossed!

Can anyone tell me if, at BOG for dinner, a child can order chicken nuggets even though they are not on the menu? We were told a few years ago by a CM that ALL restaurants have them for kids "just in case" even if they are not on the menu. There is NOTHING on the kids menu my 4 year old is going to touch, and we don't want to miss eating here if he can definitely get chicken nuggets here too. But I HAVE to be sure, as I'm sure any other parents of picky-eating preschoolers understand. Thanks.

When we went they had no chicken nuggets. My one son got the steak and my youngest got a big bowl of pasta which he loved. There are French fries but no chicken nuggets :(

My wife and I ate there last June and had a blast. The food was terrific and the scenery is amazing. Be sure to walk around and see all the rooms after you eat. We missed one and will have to catch it the next time we go, hopefully next year. And yep, Beast is there for dinner and you get to take your picture with him (Photopass). Highly recomended restaurant.

I agree. So many bad reviews and I don't know why.

For us it was a service issue. We were placed in the dining room with the music box (to the right of the main dining room). It felt like we were placed in Siberia. Our poor server had to walk the length of the room for drinks, etc. He was working hard but service dragged. The food (7 in our party) was decent enough. I tasted the grey stuff--I thought it was a sweet mess---no real discernible flavor; however the lemon meringue cupcake was delish!!!!

I'd give it another try though.:hippie:

Only been once for dinner. The food is nothing special imo(but you cannot leave without saying you have tried the gray stuff!!!). But I still really enjoy dining there for the atmosphere alone. Thats worth it.

Many think they always have to eat a full meal for an ADR, but no reason you can't just go for dessert or snacks/appetisers :thumbsup2

We always brought in food for our son, bought on property, if there was nothing on the menu he would eat. Never had a problem, but tipped as if he are a kids meal!

The FP+ website is giving the message that it is unavailable today. Does that mean they are about to open it up for March, or is it just me having this problem? Did anyone experience this in other months?

We had lunch there 4 weeks ago. It was a fun experience but the food is nothing special. After ordering we first walked into the large main dining area. To me the atmosphere was like a big cafeteria. We got our drinks and I noticed that all the silverware bins were empty.

We sat in the room with the rose and the portrait. It was very nice. Our food came quickly, it obviously had been ready for some time just waiting for someone to order it. The sandwich was soggy on the bottom and the fries were underdone and just warm. The French onion soup was lackluster.

We'd go back, more for the ambiance than the food.

I agree. The food was alright. The Grey Stuff was a nice touch. I love the decor and atmosphere. That is what you are truly paying for.

I'm getting the same message! Does anyone know if March's FP+ times are available yet? I'm going from the 2nd-9th, and really wanting to try and reserve a time!

We went twice on our trip last September. We had lunch both times. I thought the food was very good. My husband and I got the pork dish each time and we tried all the cupcakes. My daughter didn't like her food either time. The kids meal choices didn't thrill her at all. She ended up eating some of my food lol.

The only real issue I have is that I felt very rushed and the cast members seemed really stressed out. They weren't rude or anything...just rushing around in their carts and not really friendly at all.

I entered my information on the bog site. Checked back today to see if window had opened up for March trip and it says I'm already registered? When I clicked on the ? Icon, it said that people are being randomly picked to try out the FP+ option. :confused3 anyone else have this experience? Keep checking back, or see if I am sent an email to sign up?

I tried for my March trip too and it asked for my resort reservation number but when I typed in my reservation number it said it wasn't valid. Anyone else have this problem?

When I log in, its showing the dates that I will be there...but when I click on any of the days its stating that there aren't any times available? Is this because they aren't released yet? Or are they really booked up already? :confused3

What type of number are you using for your resort reservation number? I'm trying my confirmation number from Disney and it says it's invalid. Won't even allow me to type in the letters in the number.
