Hello

Just tried to make reservations for BOG on October 3rd but it is completely booked. Just wondered if they keep a tables free for walk up diners? If so we will try our luck.

Thanks

The do not keep tables open for walk ups. BOG dinner ADRs fill up fast at the 180 day mark. Your best bet is to keep checking for an ADR that opens from a cancellation.

Chances of being able to walk up for dinner will be VERY slim, although I have heard of it on the boards.

You might just try it for lunch instead. It's QS then, and you wait in line to get to order and sit at a table. :thumbsup2

You could also subscribe to this thread for October ADR cancellations. People post BOG almost daily.

Because October 3 is a Halloween party night the park closes at 7:00 that evening so it makes dinner planning a little more complicated. Party goers with early reservations are not likely to cancel, but those who have reservations close to the party time might if they don't want to use party time to eat. On the other hand if you're not going to the party you'll be limited to reservations before 7:00.

I agree with the PP that you'll need to keep checking online multiple times a day for possible cancellations and subscribe to the Oct cancellation thread because they don't set aside any tables for walk ups. You have to be persistent since cancellations seem to go back into the reservation system immediately and it's a matter of luck to be checking just as the one you want shows up.

Thank you both for your replies :)

We are going to MNSSHP that night, and spending a few hours at MK earlier, was hoping to break both up with dinner at BOG.

Will keep checking the cancelled ADR thread in hope.

Because you'll be in the MK during the day, you might want to have lunch at BOG if you can't get a dinner reservation. It's counter service so no reservations accepted. You'll have to line up on the bridge, but the wait isn't too bad. If you're mainly interested in seeing the interior of the restaurant and soaking up the atmosphere lunch might be a good choice.

Differences/similarities between lunch and dinner:
-You'll be able to explore all the rooms at either meal and often at lunch you'll be able to choose your own table. At dinner the CM will seat you.

-Menus have some differences: entrees (mains) are different, but desserts are identical. The 2 soups are on both menus, but dinner has additional appetizers (starters).

-Lunch is brought to your table in the carts used at dinner for the desserts. Lunch is served on real dishes and silverware. Drinks are in paper cups.

-Biggest differences: At dinner you can have a photo op with the Beast after you finish dining and beer and wine are available at dinner.
