I certainly wouldn't advise counting on it but I saw a couple walk up without a reservation and allowed to enter for lunch today. It was about 2:20 in the afternoon as we checked with a reservation. The staff were cleaning and setting up for dinner as we finished eating so I guess we were part of the last lunches served.
So, if you are willing to eat somewhere else if you are turned away, a late lunch attempt at BOG may be worth a try. The meal was one of the better ones we've had so far this trip. DH loved the french dip and my braised pork was quite good as well.
