Be Our Guest Restaurant?

Does anyone have any idea when the Be Our Guest Restaurant in Beast's Castle might open up at MK? I have seen construction photos, and they have gotten a lot of work done on the castle already, at least the exterior that I saw. I also read that the Fantasyland Expansion would open up in phases, starting in 2012. We are going to WDW July 23, 2012-August 2, 2012. I am hoping this restaurant will be open by then, otherwise we have to wait another 2 years to go (assuming it is open summer 2014, of course!).

My theory is...this restaurant is going to seat 550 people, according to everything I read, and this is a HUGE money-maker for WDW, so it will probably be one of the first new things to open.

Now, for the big question...has anyone ever eaten at a brand new Disney restaurant? Because, I have the slight "fear" that if it is newly open when we go, it may not be a "smoothe" dining experience.

I ate at both Via Napoli and Hacienda last year, shortly after they opened up (about a month after VN and about a week after Hacienda).

Both places were still not quite into the groove yet, and it's a learning curve for sure. At VN, the waiter we got was very slow and way off his timing. Other servers seemed a bit better though (and a neighboring one picked up the slack nicely).

At Hacienda, the timing was even more pronounced. While the server was very good, I received my entree only about 5 minutes after getting the App, which wasn't very ideal. However, these things are to be expected with brand new places and they had several managers walking around speaking with everyone as to how things were going and being real good with the feedback.

So, if going within the first month or two, expect some bumps, it's how things are. If it's going to be an issue, then it's best not to visit right at the start. If you're like me, and enjoy giving feedback to better something, then it's a great time to try it out

Last I read about the opening of the Fantasy Land expansion was that it was going to be in two phases. The first is forcast to be fall of 2012, which I believe will include "Be Our Guest". You may want to look here for more info, wdwmagic.com Good luck!!!

There are no exact dates yet when the Be Our Guest restaurant and that first phase of Fantasyland are opened, but I think it's supposed to be late in 2012, just like AoA.
