Be Our Guest Reservations open 8/20 at 7:00 am

I just called... CM said new update they just got says booking will begin at 7AM August 20th! :thumbsup2

This would be much better for me! 12 noon ET in the US is 5pm here in the UK so not a very convenient time! Whereas 7am ET is 12 noon in the UK so much easier in my household! But if it does turn out that I'll have to be calling at 5pm then so be it!!

Claire :)

I just got an e-mail to share with all DIS'ers.
Love to hear reviews of Be Our Guest in the new Fantasy Land in MK.

It's the news that we've all been waiting for!

We promised to send all the latest info about the new Be Our Guest Restaurant, opening this Fall in Disney World's Magic Kingdom! And today we've got some fantastic news!

Reservations for Be Our Guest Restaurant Open August 20th
The most anticipated new restaurant in Walt Disney World, Be Our Guest Restaurant will begin taking reservations on Monday, August 20th, at Noon for dinners starting November 19, 2012. This means you'll get to see the restaurant before it even officially "grand opens!"

Booking on Monday will be by telephone only -- call 407-WDW-DINE to make reservations. Guests will be able to start booking online at disneyworld.com/dine on August 22, 2012.

Experience an enchanted dinner in one of three dining rooms right there in the Beast's Castle. Or head over to Be Our Guest Restaurant for a counter-service lunch. Yep -- counter-service for lunch, table-service for dinner -- a relatively new concept for Disney!

I hope all can get the ADR they want :)

Of course it will be 8/20, and not 8/28, as previously predicted. Realize I was up and tried on 8/4, which was a remote maybe.
8/28, would be too easy, as I would be home, on vacation.
8/20, I will be camping, so add to the system issues bound to happen on WDW's end, my own limited connectivity. I like the noon start, tho' as that will be a reasonable 9 am my time (west coast) and I won't have to be up and trying to call at 4 am (7 am WDW time) with cell phone in one hand and flashlight in other, wandering the campground in search of an open space to help w/ cell reception hoping not to encounter a stray skunk, coyote or mt. lion.

LOL! That totally stinks.

Reminds me of my 180 + 10 day this summer. We were on vacation and had traveled one timezone further west, so I was up tiptoeing around our hotel room at 3:45 AM making notes by the light of my cell phone! :surfweb: But at least I had a chair! :rotfl:

My friend and I had lunch today to strategize our plan of attack. We have 6 phone lines between the 3 adults who will be making calls. I sure hope someone gets through quickly or I'm on my own. She has to leave 90 minutes into it to take our other helper to have her wisdom teeth extracted. From there on out, I'm on my own........

Very psyched about this, and my wife is beside herself. Would not be surprised if we had at least one meal a day there on our next trip!

I really, really hope the food is good. The menu sounds fantastic, and the Magic Kingdom is in desperate need of a TS place where you can get a meal that will really wow you, as you can in the other parks. There's currently nowhere in MK that I would eat based upon the food alone if I weren't at a theme park, but here's hoping this changes that!

Very excited about this!! Will be on the phone at 12 noon on Monday!

WDWMagic is now reporting that ADR's can be made at 7am.

Just checked that - very confusing! Right under the large head-liner it says in small print Monday 12 Noon :confused3

By the way, where did you (the OP) get that they were doing a "soft" dinner opening on 11/19? Haven't been able to find that???

for dinner reservations.

Also, I found out you can not specify which section like the Library. You can however make a request before your reservation to be seated in a certain section.

Finally, there are suppose to be seats with a view of the fireworks. I don't know what section, but I'm sure it will be obvious once you see the restaurant.

Yep -- Disney Parks Blog JUST changed the time that the reservations can be booked to 7am instead of noon. I've got to send out a new newsletter!! ;-)

It's time to set your alarm clock for Monday morning!

According to an update in the Disney Parks Blog announcement, reservations for Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom's new Fantasyland will now open at 7am ET on August 20th, instead of noon. To book, call 407-WDW-DINE. Guests will still be able to book for dinners starting November 19th, 2012, on this day.

That is so unfair, between the two of us calling we only have four phone lines but at least our wisdom teeth are already out so maybe it's about even. ;) As I told my friend, "7am Monday is going to be INTENSE!".

Or it may be like getting res for Candlelight Processional dinner last year, 2 minutes of quick dialing followed by 45 minutes on hold. See you at BoG!

I think I might be the only one that won't be making reservations for Be Our Guest :rotfl: The food sounds yucky to me. I wish it appealed to me more because I think it would be fun to eat there

Good luck to all those calling at 7am! I hope you all get the times that you are looking for!!! :goodvibes

I think the lunch menu looks better than the dinner menu. I only found 1 thing that sounded ok. Your not alone.

Well, I'm not sure that any one of us can REALLY handle more than 2 lines, so it really doesn't matter. I have visions of me sitting here listening to 5 phones on speaker and hearing a voice come on the line and not being able to figure out which one to answer!

I'll be a nervous wreck on Monday morning. My friend and I have talked about nothing but dining at the Beast's castle since we put together this trip. Now that it's here, I'm just so afraid it might not work out.

I hope we get to see you at BOG! Which day are you trying for? We at least have the advantage of planning to be in the MK on 7 different days during our trip. Certain days work better than others. But when it comes right down to it, we'll take whatever we can get.

We want to eat lunch there in December, which is CS. Are they taking ADRs for a CS lunch here, or will we need to show up and just try to get in?? I know CS don't generally require an ADR, but I also know they are doing things differently with BOG. :scratchin

Did you see a menu? I've been looking for one....

Me, I think it all sounds delicious! My mouth is watering at the idea of "Sautéed Shrimp and Scallops with Sautéed Mushrooms, Carrots, and Baby Spinach served in Puff Pastry with Creamy Lobster Sauce" (http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/be-our-guest-restaurant-dinner-menu/).

But I've got to ask... was the one thing you thought sounded okay the steak and fries?
