Just wondering how the steak sandwich is for lunch or even the french onion soup. What was your favorite food?

The steak sandwich was very good but it has since been removed from the lunch menu and replaced by a different beef meal, don't remember exactly what that is.

The Steak Sandwich is........gone.
Replaced by a Roast Beef Sandwich made from carved Chuck Roast.

Well that is good to know. Thanks. Was there anything particular that you liked to eat that you would recommend.

French Onion soup was good, although I think Les Chefs' was a notch above (there was some discussion here about vegetable stock at BoG and beef stock at Les Chefs).

I had the braised pork for lunch at BoG and thought it was great - more like a TS entree than QS. Lemon meringue cupcake made a nice dessert.

I had the braised pork, and it was one of my favorite meals of our entire trip. DH agreed that it was very tasty.

Really enjoyed the Potato Leek Soup and the quiche. We were there when they still had the "old" steak sandwich (not so long ago;))...anyway...the French Onion Soup did look good though.

Feel free to check out my review with lots of photos from a few months ago:

I had the braised pork - and agree with other posters - thought it was very good. My daughter had the turkey sandwich and she was very happy with it as well. Lemon meringue cupcake was delicious!

Took us about 30 mins to get through the line.

Good to know. We were hoping to catch a late lunch on the day we do the dessert party (we have been advised we wouldn't want to eat dinner). What is the latest they serve lunch? And so I'm assuming we would need to be in line at least 30 min before the end of lunch time?

We have only eaten dinner there, but the french onion soup was really good! We were surprised to find out after the fact that it is actually a vegetable based soup (versus the normal beef base) because it was really flavorful! :thumbsup2

I had the Croque Monsieur and it was very tasty. My mom god the French Onion Soup and she loved it.

The lunch lines always looks long because everyone in your party has to be in the line. There is no entering the dining areas prior to ordering your food. No sending in someone with the kids to find a table and wait for you. I actually like this method rather than having table squatters like at other counter service places. This way, I am always able to find a good place to sit when I get in.

Ate there on Monday...got in line around 1 Pm and maybe waited 20 minutes tops. Food came very quickly and we all enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere very much. We don't care for long drawn out meals as we have small ones in our group, and this was more like a nice restaurant but with counter service prices and speed, so was great. Would highly recommend for lunch!
